[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74842] SVG text Missing

I agree that it is a duplicate in the sense that there is a import SVG issue.
Note however, that all was fine on LO 4.n with n<2. And this issue appeared
when updating to 4.2.
Hence, it is not an issue that continues since 3.x as discussed in bug 32248,
but something new. Regards

Can you please provide a test document so this can be tested against and
subsequently be confirmed. If your document contains sensitive data, please
clear that or replace it with random information.

A step-by-step description of how to reproduce the issue is most helpful and
will help to speed up the processing of this problem a lot.

Setting to NEEDINFO until more detail is provided.

After providing the requested info, please reset this bug to UNCONFIRMED.
Thanks :)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62366] SLIDESHOW: Pen on the presenter console

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62366

Jean-Baptiste Faure commented on bug #67949:
"Not sure if this is a bug. I reproduce when I draw on the speaker screen but
it
seems to me that this functionality is designed to draw on the presentation
screen in order the spectators see the pointer which make the drawing."

Drawing on the presentation screen is really impractical in many situations
where the presentation screen is *behind* the speaker (which is the case in
most lecture halls etc.). You end up twisting yourself uncomfortably and
talking with your head away from the audience.

I agree that the ideal functionality would be so show a cursor on the
presentation screen when you move your mouse cursor on the presenter console's
slide image, and draw immediately on both the presenter console and the
presentation screen.

I tried all permutations of your suggestions (changing to

Added Bug 52226 - "FILESAVE Images in .docx and .xlsx files show "Read-Error",
probably corrupted by auto-save"

Moved from MAB 4.0 since 4.0 reached EOL.

Pretty big show-stopper as it seriously impedes collaborating with colleagues
who decide to work with a docx file.

Has been a MAB since 3.6.

Simple spreadsheet and text file with which to demo the bug. Sheet includes

My programming chops aren't up to hacking this, but from the black-box testing
I've done on this it seems past-special, at least when pasting unformatted
text, isn't flagging the pasted cells as dirty, so recalculations referencing
them aren't being done unless/until forced or the cells are otherwise flagged

Same problem here - or probably related.

1) Copy parts of a presentation (in my case from Keynote) to the clipboard
2) Paste it into writer
3) Result is that is has a black background instead of the original white
background.

Enviroment:
- Mac OSX 10.9.1
- Writer 4.1.4.2
- Keynote 6.1

What does work, is put an empty white box at the background of my presentation
and then copy it. So it seems that a presentation (vector image?) with a

I saw your attempt to send license statement, but you put the whole statement
in the subject line.

I'd like you to re-submit your license statement, with the statement in the
email body (not in the subject line), with the subject line of "
License statement". Replace the "" part with your real name.

Here is a good example of what a license statement should look like.

Just tested a newer snapshot from master today. It also works OK.

Platform: Linux 32-bit
Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 3ec8d33e46046b13abad2daf850e23f896ad05bc
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86@45-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2014-02-11_23:54:43

The remaining outstanding version would be 4.2.x, which still have no patched
snapshot on Linux 32-bit platform available for testing.

Despite I should have no worries, I still wanna confirm it.

I was able to reproduce this bug.

I changed the background color of the key and that color did in fact cover the
key. (eg, I changed the key's background color to orange, so now there is just
an orange box and supposedly the text to the key is underneath this.

I can confirm this bug! For me it's really a critical bug.
It is hard to edit a document, when the cursor position is wrong. It's a core
functionality of a text editting software.

word doc with embedded SoundRec objects (wav format)

Word doc with SoundRec objects. I cannot open the sound files on Linux; in
Windows, the media player is opened.

Step to reproduce:
1. Open attached file on Linux
2. Double click any of the sound (speaker) icons
3. Expected result: you can play the sounds
4. Actual Result: you get a new writer windows with the sounds file,
RIFF

I'm happy to work on this, some hints would really be appreciated. I'm still
investigating but I'm not sure how this should be handled.

OK, I've got it now.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make document with about four pages with header on. Do *not* check "Same
content left/right".
2. Put an image into the header of the right page, anchored to paragraph.
3. You need not write something into the header of the left page, it makes no
difference.
4. Save the document.
5. Reopen the document.

Notice the inserted picture is on the left-side header too.

The error comes during opening. The document shows correctly in AOO.

As far as I know, GTK isn't accessible on Windows at all (unless of course the
app has its own complete accessibility implementation).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60064] [Feature request] define positional origin for tab stops

2014-02-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60064

It is worth noting that for this request to be possible it would require
amending ODF and, if interoperability with OOXML is to be maintained,
conversion of these percentages to the calculated twentieths of a point
equivalent. In ODF v1.2 the style:position attribute in relation to the
style:tab-stop element (19.508.3) uses the XSL specification definition for
Units of Measure:

http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/REC-xsl-20011015/slice5.html#section-N8185-Definitions-of-Units-of-Measure

i.e., centimetre, millimetre, inch, point, pica, pixel, em

I suppose this could always be augmented somehow to allow percentage values,
although these may ultimately need to be calculated in the internal measurement
of LO (fractions of millimetre?) anyway. An separate percentage value (in
additional to the scalar value) may be an option, although this would seem to
increase conversion complexity.

In the OOXML spec the w:pos attribute in relation to w:tab element (17.3.1.37)
uses Signed Measurement in Twentieths of a Point (17.18.81
ST_SignedTwipsMeasure) appears to be used. Any percentage value would need to
be translated to this unit for export.

Nothing =( It seems that the GIMP on Windows offers no Java Accessiblity API
access via the JAB, nor UIA nor IAccessible2 interface--just minimal MSAA
responses. So seems to be mute with NVDA.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74861] New: [Spreadsheet] Exporting A4-sized ODS to PDF with '--headless' creates Letter-sized PDF (where manual export via GUI creates A4)

2014-02-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74861

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 74861
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: [Spreadsheet] Exporting A4-sized ODS to PDF with
'--headless' creates Letter-sized PDF (where manual
export via GUI creates A4)
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: kurt.pfei...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Printing and PDF export
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 93886
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=93886&action=edit
Sample A4 ODS file becoming Letter-sized PDF with --headless conversion

I'm trying (on Mac OS X Mavericks) to use an ODS/Spreadsheet file to
dynamically create a PDF (which is meant to serve as my letterhead/background
for other documents I write). My whole workflow is controlled by a Makefile
which uses a "soffice --headless" command. Here is the problem:

 1. Creating the PDF manually by using the LO/Spreadsheet GUI
"Export as PDF..." creates a 2-page A4-sized PDF document
 (as expected).

 2. Using the "--headless" commandline creates a 4-page Letter
sized PDF document (useless for my further workflow).

A sample ODS file ('lh-dummy.ods') is attached. I can reproduce this outside of
the Makefile environment, purely on the commandline, like this:

/Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice\
   "-env:UserInstallation=file:///tmp/LibO_Conversion__${USER}" \
--headless \
--convert-to pdf:calc_pdf_Export\
--outdir $(pwd)/l \
  $(pwd)/lh-dummy.ods

 * --headless: this param suppresses popping up the LO GUI
 * "-env:...": this param allows to run a 2nd independent
LO instance headlessly even while a GUI instance of LO
is open.

The result is a Letter-sized, 4-page PDF file named "lh-dummy.pdf" in the
automatically created directory "./lo".

Loading the same ODS into LibreOffice and exporting to PDF will create a
2-page, A4 PDF.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74848] EDITING: Greyed-out menu bug when trying to insert formula

2014-02-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74848

Just performed a reset and the same thing still occurs.
I am currently in the process of writing a lot of text (dissertation) so I can
keep testing this - I get it quite frequently even though I cannot pinpoint the
cause through observation.

Additional info:
I found a way to reproduce this fairly consistently. While in formula-editing
if I exit formula-editing and afterwards quickly click somewhere in the text
and hit Insert, I get grayed-out entries. Furthermore, it looks like these are
the same grayed-out entries which appear in the Insert menu if a formula is
selected (if a formula is selected then this is the expected behavior).

We're asking here beause we don't have time to be on IRC.

So posting here maybe some hackeer could help to solve this issue.

What happens when NDVA meets a "true" gtk application on windows ? e.g
something like gimp (or maybe better, assuming it works, gladewin32 itself
which presumably contains glade-previewer which might be suitable for testing
simple standalone box/grid using testcases.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74472] FILESAVE: Crash when "save as"

2014-02-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74472

rogerfr...@gmail.com changed:

   What|Removed |Added

   Hardware|Other |x86-64 (AMD64)
 OS|Mac OS X (All) |Linux (All)
   Priority|medium |high
Version|4.2.0.4 release |4.1.3.2 release
  Component|Spreadsheet |Writer

Same behavior. Really annoying.

The crash is usually preceded by several seconds of unresponsiveness (this on
an i7 quad-core system), but not always. The save window will often appear, and
on mouseover of the filename line the whole thing will crash.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74859] New: Other: Font Colour button has changed from Automatic to muddy brown at program load

2014-02-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74859

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 74859
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Other: Font Colour button has changed from Automatic
to muddy brown at program load
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: mara1618-bugzi...@yahoo.co.uk
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.4.2 release
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 93885
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=93885&action=edit
Screenshot of what the Font Colour Button looked like immediately after program
launch in version 4.0.4.2. In version 4.1.4.2 the button seems to be the same
colour, but the palette is so reduced in size I can't see which box is
highlighted.

Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Calc or Writer (I don't know if this happens in other LO programs)

Current behavior:
In versions 4.0.4.2 and 4.1.4.2 ...

2. Look at the colour that the Font Colour Button on the toolbar is set to.
(Muddy brown to my eyes)

Expected behavior:

In whatever my LibreOffice version was before 4.0.4.2 (would have been
3.something) and in all previous versions of LibreOffice I've used in the past
several years, the Font Colour Button was set to "Automatic" when the programs
started up.

This looks like a backward step/bug to me.
Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.1.4.2 release

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74858] New: EDITING: Legend background covers legend entries

2014-02-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74858

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 74858
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: EDITING: Legend background covers legend entries
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
  Reporter: lovecraf...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.0.4 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
When creating a new plot, if the grid lines are enabled, the legend is
automatically positioned underneath those lines. If the user changes the legend
background from none to a color, the legend entries are covered by that color
thus making the legend unreadable.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new plot
2. Double clic on the legend
3. Change the legend color

Current behavior:
The legend entries are covered by the legend background

Expected behavior:
The legend background should change without hiding the writings

Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 4.2.0.4 release
