Re: Any one using SPL Studio with WE
Hi Joe! I have a series of problems with Window-Eyes and SPL Studio. Ross from SPL solved the delay in playing, by suggesting I reduce the buffer size. When I press a key to check or play a track, WE won't talk, until I alt-tab away and back again. I turned off automatic loading of the apps, and that fixed that one, I think. But I can't close Studio, it just comes up with a message: "Index out of bounds (32768) I uninstalled WE, and had my Son run Studio, with out speech installed. He got the same result when closing down. I have re-installed WE and it seams to be working, but have not done a lot of testing yet. I noticed when I loaded Studio this morning, a message came up as it loaded: "Loading in a protected mode" Thanks for any help, Joe, but that's about all I can think of to try. I am using Windows 7 64 bit. Re: Gold Wave: Changing amount of bass /treble boost in Gold Wave batch converter
you can do it by going to the batch converter and look for the tab called, process. you can then add effects and change them to your liking. It's in a tree view which is accessible and then I think it gives you the standard dialogues for changing the parameters. hth Dave C. Bahr On 1/23/2012 10:23 AM, Dujari, Prateek wrote: Hello. Re: goldwave 5.66 is now available
Yeah, it's workable without scripts, but they really do make the experience a lot nicer, at least as far as Jaws goes. It's not so much about having the record, play etc buttons speak, but rather about just hitting single keystrokes to get various bits of status information, locations of markers, cursor, elapsed time, file name (when switching between windows), etc. Not essential, but certainly welcome. Of course I've been led to believe that Window Eyes works better in general without scripting than Jaws does - Original Message - From: "Joe Paton" To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Monday, January 23, 2012 4:04 AM Subject: Re: goldwave 5.66 is now available Hi Tim, I'm currently using goldwave with window-eyes 7.5. Re: TapinRadio Version 1.51 is now Available
Here is what I did to get around this problem. It does take some trial and error though so be warned! 1. Focus to the first radio button, which will be checked. 2. Right arrow until you hear another radio button, which will be checked. Since they are radio buttons, only one can be checked. 3. Tab once and uncheck all three boxes as you tab to them. 4. Continue with the install. This problem applies to Windows 7 as well, not just XP. you may like to contact supp...@ramosoft.com and explain the situation. It might be an installer problem so they may have nothing to do with the querks, but it's worth a shot. They seem to care about the blind community so it is definitely worth a shot. Good luck. Re: goldwave 5.66 is now available
Hey Tim, I really don't have a problem editing audio. After all, that's what it is, so I can happily select passages, fine tune the selection, mix, paste, copy and other manipulating functions without problems. Maybe if I used the scripts i'd find it easier, but it works just fine right now. It would be nice, but not essential to hear the record, play, pause, stop fast forward et cetera spoken as they used to be, but it isn't impeeding me at all. I haven't undertaken any batch processing with this latest release, so we'll see how it goes when the time comes around.
