my program to automate the editing of setisig's output.

If your system can support batch files (or an equivalent to them), a
batch file might be written to:

Call setisig to create (unedited) stsigout.txt
Call my Basic program to create stsigedt.txt

Then a TheBat! template could be written to include stsigedt.txt in

Another, probably much simpler possibility has occurred to me.

Download MyMacros from http://en.barin.com.ua/soft/mymacros/ .

Plug MyMacros into TheBat!

MyMacros adds some advanced macros to TheBat!'s repertoire, so, for
example, you can do the following in a TheBat! template:

 %Run(PathToSetsig) Will run Setisig.

 %INCLUDE=PathToSetisigOutputTextFile Will include the file's
text.

 %Getline(n,%Include=Path...File) where n=1,2,3,... I THINK
will include line n of
Setisig's output text
file.

So, a template to include lines 1, 5, and 8 of the file in your
message, MIGHT look like:

%REM=%-
BEGIN QUICK TEMPLATE Seti135
%-
%Run(PathToSetsig)%-
%Getline(1,%Include=PathToSetisigOutputTextFile)
%Getline(5,%Include=PathToSetisigOutputTextFile)

JH I haven't done anything with the resolution, and I don't know how I

Just in case it is a screen resolution problem, here's a solution

MB ... in the Desktop/Properties/Display/Settings window, I can't
MB get back to the slider, or to the Advanced button, and I can't
MB get an OK or an Apply button on any other dialogue window. ...

If you changed the DPI settings and can't see the advanced button,
you can press Alt-V to force the advanced dialog panel to appear.
Then press N to revert to Normal DPI settings and Enter to
'Okay' the setting change.

If you changed the screen resolution on the settings tab and can't
see the slider, it comes up focused by default, so just press End
to put it back on Maximum then Enter. ...

The second paragraph of advice solved my problem. Marck gave me this
advice on tbot back in January, in,

mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

and I copied-and-pasted the relevant paragraphs above. Let me know if
this helps?

You need to check the option of downloading message bodies and select
Full Sync.

Select Account - Properties - IMAP Fine-Tune - first checkbox.

Then Select Manage IMAP folders and make sure full sync is set to the

You create cookies as a simple plain text file (e.g. cookies.txt),
where each line in it represents one (1) cookie.

Then you write a line like this:

 %COOKIE=Drive_letter:\path_to_file_cookies.txt

and you put it in your (reply or other) template, on some place where
you want the cookie appeared.

Thanks to the macro %COOKIE= above, it will search for file
cookies.txt and will randomly choose one of lines from it to copy it
in your message.

PM ordinary miracle... :-)

I'm not so sure... I had exactly the same problem with the Connection
Centre a couple of weeks back and the only way to sort it out was a
fresh install. I'm convinced it was a TB! problem because it returned as
soon as I restored my old registry settings. In the end I had to do a
clean install and restore my message base etc. using the backup utility.

If there's a delay downloading the message then this means that TB!
does not have a local copy. However, once the message is displayed, a
copy will be cached locally so that you'll not experience any more
delays if you wish to view it later.

I have been using TB for a couple of days now and am beginning to
have questions. I understand what cookies are in the templates but
am a little vague on how and where to create them.

In addition to Mica's answer, you can also put them in the account
properties. Select the account, go to the account menu, then
properties. You'll notice under the Templates section, you'll see a
cookies section. As with Mica's answer, you have to put each cookie on
a new line. Mica's suggestion (in my opinion) is a better option as it
allows you to use the cookies across accounts.

MDP also required.

I have been using only a SINGLE quote QT in my reply template..

 On %ODateEn thus spake %OFromFName:
 %QUOTESTYLE==%qinclude(Initials)
 %QUOTES=%TEXT

 1) What is the QT cleanup for?

Probably removes PGP stuff from the top when people use inline
signing. The details for it are likely to appear in the macro library
(see link at bottom of this email).

 2) What does the macro %WRAPPED do?

It rewraps the text.

 3) How is %QUOTES%- different from %QUOTES=%TEXT?

The second removes any carriage returns you put after the text you type
in the template... An example is to copy this into a new message
template, and find out what happens:

Hi

Bye

Include all the carriage returns... Now do this:

Hi
%-
%-
%-
%-
%-
%-
%-
Bye

Then use the template... you'll notice the second has no carriage
returns. The %- suppresses them.

 4) What are the other 2 QTs I am missing?

Missed that bit of the thread, I'm sure Marck has details on that :)

RG 1) What is the QT cleanup for?

Pass - it's not a standard.

RG 2) What does the macro %WRAPPED do?

Re-wraps the first paragraph of the the text (%wrapped=text)
passed to it by whatever mean.

RG 3) How is %QUOTES%- different from %QUOTES=%TEXT?

I don't think they differ that much. Except that %QUOTES=%TEXT
should be a resample of the entire message text with quote prefix. I
think. %QUOTES is the standard default Quoted text. The %- just
sucks out the extra blank line usually introduced by a line in a
template with a macro in it.

RG 4) What are the other 2 QTs I am missing?

They were detailed in my message. Full name and Full name - no AB
entry. They're in the Macro Library.
