[Bug 1608604] Re: Epson L210 multifunctional printer, scanner is not working.

2017-02-06 Thread Aravind Gopal
Please see the comments from #116 , #126 etc in bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lsb/+bug/1536353

I thought that bug is for printers only and not MFD.

I am suffering from this issue for more than 10 MONTHS.
Even after providing with the screenshots and log files .

Till now there isn't any technical guidance.. to solve a partial problem with
an essential hardware.
AND PROBLEM PERSISTS.. I cannot scan from LINUX.(No problem with Win10)

Even though I a like a Canon MFD(not supported by Linux), I opted Epson MFD
because Linux supported it.
I am a fan of Linux. Now Its like Ubuntu is forcing me to Switch OS.

PLease Help

Now simple scan is not loading from menu short cut. need sudo fron
console to load. But still cannot identify the device. Previous LTS
version was fine. 16.04.1 is buggy.

What is the problem? , its hardware or software problem?. Is it possible to use
the scanner? Status shows "fix released" and Importance "medium".
Confused

Gluten print + cups install automatically when MFD printer is connected
for the first time. Changed to epson driver.. Now 'simple scan' not
loading, no error message , iscan and scanlite gives the same error
message. restarted the system, printer but no use. Error persists.

Re: [Bug 1095888] Re: AMD HD 4000 series MotherBoard sound problem

2013-01-04 Thread Aravind Gopal
I have only common use.

It is seen while the common use ie., from boot to shut down and no sound
even while using Juk for music and VLC/smplayer for video.

The test button in the setting windows were also not responding(no sound).
some very feeble continuous humming(irritating) with occasional feeble
exploding sound(Tak sound feeble) were heard.

If needed I can send you the list of installed MultiMedia softwares ,that I
can see in the list/menu.

Today evening the problem was automatically absent.

Re: [Bug 411944] Re: cannot use partition formated in ext3 during instalation

2009-08-26 Thread Aravind Gopal
in windows partitions (which is flexible) i can create partition in
any name and can be monitored or analysed for usage or
representation/navigation style is also more user friendly.

friend the above one is a problem but my real problem is that during
the installation of ubuntu 9.04 i partitioned and formated nearly
onethird of the hdd capacity in ext3 file system and the mount point
was given(typed, as it wasn't in the list) as 'backup'. I created one
partition as 'User' and another one as 'Home' . apart from root and
swap.
in my system winxp is loaded in the primary partition c:. d and e are
ntfs and fat32 formated partitions.
after installation of Ubuntu , i can see but cannot use the partition
'backup'. as it is in ext3 it cannot be used from win xp either.
more over it would be useful if some tips were shown about mount
points during partitioning. such as if u create a separate home
partition ur data will not be lost if u reload/reinstall Linux again,
etc, etc.
i like free areas like in win xp.

ask you what behavior you expected and some specifics steps for recreate

one of my partition formated in ext3 which i want to use as i use partitions

as i don't want to mount as specified mounts such 'home', 'user' , etc. i

but after installation i cant open/use it from ubuntu or windows (as it is

my intention was to back up the database folder (mysql/postgresql) to the
known/non predefined location, and then back up to some other location. why
linux cannot give options like the download folder in firefox or my documents
folder in open office setting to use partitions instead of pre defined mount
points to all. for eg . why user cannot be able to set the 'home folder' be a
folder 'home folder' named in D or E or F or etc. drive/partition. Not needed

if cannot be used during installation ubuntu should not allow to

please reply, i dont know how to use that major partition, do i need
to install ubuntu again and re partition it. also i think one cannot
format a partition in ext3/4 without a pre-determined mount

2009-08-10 Thread Aravind Gopal
