These are currently on sale at Dick Smith at $269 until 5 Nov (in NSW
anyway) which is probably as good as any price I have seen, particularly
from a reputable retailer (rather than an internet trader). I previously
bought a Dell Streak 7" tablet which failed after four months and for which

Anyone know where I can get a chute repacked in Sydney metro. Preferably not

In NSW, you need a weighbridge ticket for the empty trailer for
registration, but this is after it has been imported. For anyone in NSW, I
have detailed notes on what is required which I am happy to pass on.

Another report quotes the NTSB investigators confirming that the tail dolly
had been left on. Full details are posted on rec.aviation.soaring. It is
hard to see how this would have caused the accident with three up. Two other
theories are the accident could have been caused by an unrestrained child
Hi Ross ... so you were hit for 2 years. The annual fee if you go through
Tom is Eu190 per year around ... around AUD 260 including GST. Direct to the
factory (which allows you to deal directly with DG) is Eu250 ... around

Hi Ross,
You are fortunate you were not required to pay retrospectively for 2010 and
2011. I had to and I am pretty sure everyone else did. The rules then were
that anyone joining any time in the future would have to pay retrospectively
to 2010, and I think this is still the case for anyone who
Looks like this issue is still on the boil. Apparently the legality has been
challenged with DG threatening to withdraw all support if it all becomes too
hard.
One change to note though is that if you now buy an old LS or DG glider, you
will not be liable for back payments of the license fee ..
Thanks Ross and Tim ... doesn't look much chance of starting a revolution on
this one ! I would have thought that with the GFA running a Decentralised
Comp on the OLC, there would be some relationship there ... and especially
better than that with most of the non-smiley face users. Still, the price
Brought to my attention today that from January, the OLC will not accept
traces from Cambridge Model 10/20/25 loggers. This will cause us problems as
all club gliders are equipped with these loggers. Don't know if the GFA is
aware or has had any input, but would suspect it we are not the only ones
Hi,
One of our very promising young members is about to commence work in
Germany, south west of Munich. He is very keen to pursue his gliding and
would be most appreciative of any recommendations or introductions to
gliding clubs in that area. Any recommendations or contacts most
appreciated. P

For us operators, I really think it is quite simple ... just do what the GFA
requires (ie observe the requirements of AN84) and if there are issues
between the GFA and CASA, let them sort them out.
AN84 Issue 2 was released on 7th April, 1998 and the pre-amble states

I just have not seen any reference yet to GFA AN84 which details the
requirements. This is downloadable from the GFA website /Airworthiness
