I had pretty much the same experience and impression as others this morning.
Most birds were in an extremely tight flock in the Northwest corner. As soon as
you found them, you had maybe 5 minutes before they were gone. With some work,

Good news! We were down at this nest between 9:35 - 10:50 this morning and saw
the following:
* both parents were in the nest and then flew off toward the lake
* in less than 10 minutes they both returned with a fish and enjoyed their
meals on separate poles

Semi-Palmated Sandpiper and a Lesser Black-backed Gull in with a small

We arrived at the parking lot at Hammond Hill at 9:00, not expecting to
find much singing at that late hour in light rain, but we were pleasantly
surprised.
We hiked about .5 mi. on the Yellow 1 Trail (a moderately steep, somewhat
muddy trail that starts directly across the road from the parki

likely it has moved on. Not sure if north or south.

Hi all,
Today I spent a couple of hours at Hawthorn in the morning. Mostly it was quiet
except for the singing Tennessee warblers.
My counts were as follows;
Through out the orchard at various locations Tennessee at 7
Most of the other warblers I found in an oak tree near the North west corn
Nice concentration of mainly COMMON , counted at least 44. I found just 1
FORSTERs. Most were loafing on dock.

Kittiwake was not present between 830 and 9. Scoured thru all gulls from spit
to lighthouse. Thanks for updates as I will be at Montezuma and will stop on

Hello everyone,
The kittiwake was loafing with other gulls at the tip of Myer's Pt this
morning at about 6:30, although by 7 AM I'd list it after it and most of the
gulls flew up when a group of Canada Geese took flight. I was looking
elsewhere at the time, so I didn't see where the kittiwa
If anyone is sorry they missed seeing the wayward Willow Ptarmigan there is
still a chance to experience a truly rare sighting. Check eBird for details on
yesterdays report.
