This won't be an easy task (rather impossible) since libfprint is
written in C and libpam-fingerprint is written in Python.

I have observed a similar situation: my armel chroot seems to work all
right, but arch-test does not list "armel" as working. In my case,
SWPB is causing a SIGILL. It seems that a lot of armel binaries don't
use SWPB, but perhaps SWPB (and SWP) are still "officially" required

We stumbled into this bug during our Jessie to stretch update.
The solution provided in Message #60 worked perfectly.
However, the bug is fixed in samba 2:4.8.0+dfsg-2 but Stretch uses samba
2:4.5.16+dfsg-1, so it's not fixed in Stretch.
I think it should be mentioned in Stretch release note.
