I'm using the app Podcast on mysqueezebox but I have an issue with it.
Is there a way to know when I browse each podcast on my slimbox if an
episode of a podcast has been read or not ? or get a list of all unread
episodes ? It's really annoying not to know what I have listened already
and which on

Awesome. I am trying to install LMS on the same unit as I type this. But
I may not need it, since I have it running on my laptop all the time.

The same thing started happening to my SB2 a while back. I didn't take it

Michael you may well be right on that. Frankly I have yet to have a Hard
Drive fail before it gets too small for my data. However I ended up
buying a WD Black 4TB monster and have transfered my music to it. This
gives me a great deal of room to add music and a new(old) back up drive.

I would not swap a perfectly OK HD just because of age. Usually crashes
happen the first few weeks.
In case you have several backups (you should have anyway) no need for
action.
YMMV :)

Thanks for the tip on the wifi card.
I've no idea if I messed with the correct one or not, but the small
daughter card on top - I pressed it to make sure it was on ok - it
didn't seem to move, but it appears to have done the trick.
One SB2, no longer Dead :)

Try removing WiFi card completely, try it wired only to test it.

I'm guessing here but probably the wifi card draws more power when
active than when idle. I would test with a compatible 5V, 2A PSU.
(I also own an SB3 that won't boot no matt

Power cord wiggling has no effect.
If power supply issue, wouldn't it reboot while idle then as well?

My 7 year old SB3 started to reboot randomly in the middle of playing a
track. Right
now this happens every few minutes during playback, but never when
idle.
A Google search appears to show this has been a common problem with
SB3s
going back a few years. I tried the standard xilinx/factory resets
