After a couple of years in hibernation I have resurrected a Joggler with
squeezeplay. OS installed.
The first thing I noticed was when the Joggler is running the log
message that 'you are using a Squeezebox with an outdated firmware'
So checking through the Joggler settings I came across the Up

Interim solution:
I resurrected an old Shuttle xs35 and after many hours reinstalling Win
10 finally got it working again - it's an Atom D525 so it's rather
slow.
I can use this until there's a decent offer on Amazon - I like the sound
of the Mele Quieter2D Mini PC Celeron N4020.

Everytime I try ends in a write error (I mount the USB with write

It's a real winner - easy uploading, useful Web browser access with
playback and extensive metadata editing, nice android app, and music
service access for Sonos. And it's 100% free.
Well worth checking out.

difference. Touch remote works. I contacted customer support and they
agreed to kindly send me a Touch remote - radio is still within
warranty.

Logitech kindly replaced it with a Touch remote. Can't be bother

I have a pair of Mordant Short MS 3.40 speakers - 120w 8ohms - which
sound great, using an old Sony amp.
I want to replace the amp with a smaller unit (with DAC).
Two amps seem to fit (bearing in mind the WAF variable) but would they

I have LMS running on both a Pi and a Joggler.
If I select the Pi and play a BBC stream from iPlayer the volume on my
Touch is a few degrees lower than the same stream accessed from the
Joggler LMS.
Are there any obscure settings in LMS which could be different between
the two systems?

Over the last 24 hrs all the BBC national channels fail to play - the
station info appears on screen but there's no sound. Can others confirm
this?
On Tunein site the channels fail to play also, but a message appears
saying the channel is not available at the moment.

I think that's the problem - the streams are wma format (which have

I switched to mysb,com and when I play the tunein favourite there then
it plays wma okay. Think there must be a gremlin in my lms server setup

I've reinstalled lms - still can't get wma to play on Touch. If I
switch Touch to mysb.com then the wma streams play.
The fail
After a lot of reconfiguring, testing with vpn, etc. I give up on this
problem!
There's no way the BBC wma streams will play on my system - consistently
getting 'Connection reset by local host'.

Okay - using te beebotron url for Radio 4:
Native dns - plays via VLC
True vpn - plays via VLC
smart dns - fails to play via VLC
With LMS - fails to play with all the above settings - I rebooted the
LMS server for each of the settings.

Ah - but the streams work if I play on VLC using PC with vpn.
Is there a way to force LMS to use the openDNS address? My system is
set-up to use smart dns via the router.
