Dear Framers:
I have been enjoying unparalleled stability with my FM 8.p20? running on
Vista Business edition (with all updates). I have now graduated to the
Professional Communications Suite 2 and also bought FrameScript. I am a very
happy camper, although surveying many learning curves.

Hi Framers:
I have a huge and thankless job of preparing and indexing many thousands of
poorly scanned documents from HTML into FM for professional use. I do not
think there are many shortcuts, but I wonder if there is some way to import
the html text and or tables so that they can be placed in

Dear Video group:
I have a sequence of detailed .avi animations exported from the free version
of Sketchup. I want to embed them, or encode variants, into FrameMaker 8.2
so they generate normal .pdf files. However, although FM advertises that it
can, it cannot, and one gets an "Oh-so-UNCLICKABLE

Hi Framers:
I am running FM8.2 on Vista SP2. I know I am doing something wrong when
converting an .avi file in an anchored frame in FM8.2 to .pdf. But I do not
know what it is I am doing wrong. It runs nicely in FrameMaker, but when I
convert to pdf, the result is a white frame with a mysterious

Dear Framers:
A collaborator of mine has produced a fantastic layered graphic in the free
version of Sketchup 7. It is a big file, over 10mb, which I had hoped to
place in my FM file of 77MB. I had hoped, or assumed that Sketchup 7 (free)
version would be able to save to .u3d which I erroneously

Hi Framers:
I have Vista Business edition with 4 gigs on a new machine.
I have quite a few years on FM so am fairly confident it is a FM problem but
the only hard evidence is from a Vista Log file: viz.

Hi Framers:
I have FrameMaker 8.0p277
I love the ability of FM to generate dictionary style running heads,
but these only seem to work with index entries which also have discrete
subtopics i.e. the main index subject line is on its own in the generated
index file, followed by the indented sub-to

Hi Framers:
I am running FM8p177 on Vista Prof and we are all becoming best of friends.
This is an unstructured document problem, namely I am using a table format,
no headings, two columns and two rows as a stable placeholder for a long
sequence of graphic images, each with a dedicated text.

Hi Framers: Seasons greetings
I am running FM 8p277 on Vista Prof.

My rig is FM 7.2 b144 running on Vista Business.
I do scholarly publishing. Footnotes on the bottom of the page in FM is an
