I just want to comment that this is a great example of what makes the

I need to make a graphic which is basically a set of
semi-transparent concentric spheres. The transparency
should be such that you can see the inner spheres within the outer ones. I
guess the basic question is how to make things appear semi-tranparent. Any
suggestions?

I was looking at the changelog for 2.7 and I still don't see GIMP moving
any closer to supporting SVG (which is quickly becoming not-so-rare).
I'd rather not have to go to another tool to create SVGs (I would like
to move my website to exclusively using SVGs and only serving up PNGs to
browsers

Hi. I'm new to Gimp. I'm using version 2.6.6. on a Windows Vista Home
Premium, and everything seems to work well, except for the following printing
problem.
When I printout a sheet size 8.5 x 11" on my Epson Stylus CX6600, the
printouts have a thin black line a few millimeters from the left and
