1215, yes, that onehas been putting a fairly steady carrier into
Victoria for the last couple of hours, not developing any further
though. Have heard other carriers on 909 1098 and 1458, but weaker yet.

There was low band action between 1100 and 1200UT this morning
according to the signal strength monitor (NetSDR not recording yet),
but things had mostly faded out by 1300UT, with a small sunrise
liftand then there was HLAZ, which didn't rouse itself from
slumber until well after local
They've been in with a surprisingly solid signal for the last few nights (since
I got up to my site). I normally hear them only with good auroral cx. There is
something going on with the xmtr, for certain...

Kevin Redding on the ABDX listserver noted them rather strong at his QTH (245
air miles from Atlanta) a few nights ago. If they're stuck on 28 Kw at night,
this would give a lot of DXers in the Midwest and points further west a good
shot at adding a new logging from Georgia to their totals
Just a little mistake on my part. I thought I had sent it in private.

You're a broadcast engineer, if I remember right.
I'm a volunteer with KBFG, an LPFM in Seattle. We're trying to hook up with the
are emergency services networks. To do that, we're seeking a small grant. The

I have noted that they seem to be on something other than the night
antenna system (1kW) quite often in the last few weeks.

Yes, phasing two FSL's together this way to provide cumulative gain really does
boost up TP signals, but like all

I'd love to see a picture of this awesome antenna, Colin. Is it
commercial, or home brewed? Walt

Happy World radio day everyone!
Dig this: yesterday I put up an end fed 80 through 10 meter shortwave antenna
array - it has 4 fly points from 3 bamboo poles (ea. 25 -35ft high) and a birch
tree.
I use it with a 10-watt ICOM all band transceiver and a 100-Watt Kenwood all
band transceiver.
Yea! All 12 of them!
Nyuk!

You’re luck Mike. Neil is not only one of the best DXers I have known but he’s
also forgotten more about antennas than I’ll ever know!
I hear he’s a pretty good backgammon player too. ;-)

I finally hooked up with Neil "Kaz" this weekend. Neil was kind enough to
help me fix a couple of antennas that got beat up with high winds Sunday
(beverage and pennant). We were able to snag KNTS 1680 out of Seattle
phasing a K9AY and a pennant through a NCC-1 phase box during Seattle
sunset.
