I installed the JDK from
ftp://tuiasi.ro/pub/lang/java/jdk/1.2/pre-v2/glibc2.1/jdk-1.2pre_v2-1.i386.rpm
set PATH, NS_JAVA=true and THREADS_FLAG=green
and tried to test out wether I got the right java version by
dilbert:/usr/share # java -version

I took this as a sign that this was only a prerelease alpha, that they
