I don't know where you are getting the info that MS will continue to offer Win
10 as a free upgrade. I subscribe to several PC newsletters and as far as I've
seen, the free upgrade from an earlier version of Windows to Windows 10 expires
on July 29th.

I might cite the example of Adobe Acrobat, and how it detects if you're
using assistive technology, and presents you with the reading options before
it opens up a PDF as an example of how Microsoft might implement the pricing
scheme, though this is mostly guess work on my end.
