Thanks for all those who tried to help me.. But at this point, trying to get
K-9 to show the author of a Yahoogroup post, not the email address of the
group is moot. Another issue that is of just as important, but unlikely can
be solved because its not a K-9 problem, but a Samsung Galaxy Wearab

Would it be possible for you to forward the messages as attachments? That
would make them arrive including all their headers in raw format.

First let me apologize for my frustration, short story long. About 5
months ago, my GS5 died, first replacement was a piece of garbage that
Samsung put out, the headset constantly froze up, but all the apps ran ok.
Its replacement, GS9+ running Android 8, several apps stopped working.

I’d need to dig into it more to work out the current behaviour on any given
version but there’s still an open issue on the GitHub:

Using something other than K-9 is an extreme measure. You've already found
the best there is.
This is a group where users help users. This is not a K-9 developer's list.
We're all advocates (that's whey we are on this group).
If you want other users' advice, you should show us the problem as
I think this issue is because K-9 now looks at List Post addresses when
deciding what to set as the To address.
There’s been discussion about reverting it and making Reply To List a separate
action. It’s not been done though.

I know no one will believe me. This only started to happen after I updated
the app. Even older emails still on my phone which was fine prior to the
k9 update showed the sender, not the groups name as the sender. Now just
shows the list name as sender. For this plus notifications issues to my

Only notice this happening after I did a app update. I normally dont do
auto updates. I manually updated this app.

This is not Yahoo's fault.
Now it's time to read and understand SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
All three of them have been implemented at e-mail server level in order to
allow a domain owner to issue a set of policies. These policies mandate
e-mail receiving systems to flag or discard fraudulent messages.
