Not all of them were. However, I misspoke. My 8V71 engined bus is supercharged, it does not however have the turbocharger setting on top of the supercharger, thus in normal reference is called "NA" or Normally Aspirated. The Fuel Mizer 2 stroke Detroits were not supercharged. Performance suffered

Yes, they were originally powered by 2 4-71 Detroit Diesels, but they were later repowered with a "Screamin' Jimmy" 8V-71. Those weren't known for sipping fuel, but they sure have a nice sound! The big, modern Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines sure do make crazy power and run quietly. Kevin
