Hello GregC,
I am currently out of town at the moment so have just read your email
regarding hype. You point out Jim Strope's suspension of NWA 998

Hello List,
Back to this subject.
I just created a small webpage where you can play with such kind of statistic:

All data are from EoM database:

Hi Sergey,
Thanks a lot for the work you did putting this together. It is easy to take
something like this for granted but due to the type of business I'm in I
know a bit about what it takes and can therefore appreciate the skill it
takes.
I have only recently begun this hobby and any tools or
Hi there,
Well Phil, we simply don't know it - aaand that's why we have to look for
it!
I see also a nice side-effect in the press conference by NASA - some
advertizing, always necessary to get the budgets passed. Remember - the
announcement of the supposed fossil remnants in ALH84001, even by
Hi Sergey and List,
I agree. Thanks for your hard work on the EOM website! I wish I had
remembered this source of statistics when I was writing my current
article for Meteorite Times. My December article concerns meteorite
fall statistics. :)

Hello Martin and List,
As always Martin, you are a true gentleman and a scholar! I appreciate
how you get to the point and then go on to explain situations in a
thorough manner, Thank You! In my case, I tend to be to the point in a

GregC,
I still take exception with what appears to be your accusation that
'some' people were conspiring to create a supply and demand sales
gimmick for NWA 998. I guess Jim and Adam can decide if they feel the
same way.

Hi,
Over the last 2 months my meteorite hunting has taken a back seat to a
serious back injury.
Just as it was starting to feel better, I met this guy.

Those spider bites are no joke. One of my neighbor's legs is entirely scarred.
He waited a long time before going into the hospital and the damage was much
more sever. I think he even had to have skin graphs. He is a big guy but is
definitely afraid of any spiders now, especcially brown

Interesting comments. I assume that the name KING OF ALL ANGRITES was bestowed

I don't need to sell any NWA 998. I don't care if I never sell another gram.

I have to agree with Greg. My wife had back surgery at Barrow

She was told to come back in a year and he would re-evaluate, she was
told that if he operated again it might help but probably wouldn't.
