Hi All--
Yesterday I banded two Canada Warblers in Northfield, Rice Co. I posted

encountered a nice selection of birds. These were observed from the parking

I am looking for a location (preferably a backyard) near or at least within
a few miles of the St. Paul midway area with several bird feeders. I will
have 15-20 students who should observe birds and bird interaction at feeders
on 9/21. If you have such a yard or know of someone who has several feed

far south in MN? I'd better get out searching for them up here.

I looked at the MOU database for Red Crossbill sightings in the month of
August, regardless of year, in the whole state of MN. So far there have
been 7 separate reports of Red Crossbills in August 2012, which compares to

This morning I took a walk along Park Point. One of the biggest highlights
of the morning was seeing a Buff-breasted Sandpiper! Unfortunately due to
dogs not on their leashes, the Buff-breasted Sandpiper (and a flock of
shorebirds nearby) were scared away by the dogs on the beach.
