Having survived yesterday's monsoon, the Varied Thrush continued this morning
in the Maintenance Field in New York's Central Park, frequenting both the slope
immediately east of the men's bathroom and along the western edge of the Field.

I just arrived home, and would you believe, I have another YELLOW-HEADED
BLACKBIRD at my feeders. This comes after the one we hosted from 1/20/09 -
1/28/09. Yesterday about 50 Brown-headed Cowbirds arrived with the snow.
Today the flock has grown to ~350 cowbirds, ten (10) Red-winged Blackbi
Well since everyone else is putting their two cents in on late LOSHs I'll say I
had one on the Putnum CBC back in the early 90's in January. And I'm still not
convinced about the id of the LI shrike.

A Greater White-fronted Goose is feeding in an open field with at least 100
Canada Geese on Pulaski Road. I saw it while driving past the field and pulled
over to take out my scope. I managed to snap a few shots with my camera phone
thru the scope. The field is located just east of the inters
