There are at least two Gull-billed Terns that are giving great looks actively

center area. I've been spoiled by great looks by them the last 3 times I've
been here, usually from around 2pm in the few hours I'll bird
The highlight of a morning walk at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge (JBWR) was a
Gull-billed Tern. Observed on the the East Pond from Big John's Overlook.
Other migrants included Forster's Terns, Glossy Ibis, Blue Gray Gnatcatcher
along with expected migrants already reported.
The West Pond, is look
Adult and imm. Gull-billed Terns on East Pond of Jamaica Bay WR.

A Gull-billed Tern was found by Bob Anderson and viewed a while later by me
at the spit by the Coast Guard Station. West End 2 Jones Beach State Park.

At 9:30 this morning I had a Gull-billed Tern land on the sandbar.
No sign of any pelicans nor dickcissel.

At 10:30 AM the Gull-billed Tern put in an appearance feeding over the south
marsh on the bay side of west pond. A Whimbrel was resting on the sandbar in
the bay at the west end of west pond on the high tide at 8:30 AM.

Gull-billed Tern continues at JBWR. Spotted this morning on the South
Marsh opposite West Pond Benches 4 and 5 at 9:30, along with a pair of
Least Terns.

Jones Beach West End 5 May
There were 2 Gull-billed Terns on the far side of the mud flat on Short Beach
Island. They flew off to the west. A bit latter I found the pair flying over
