Your guess about the auto-WB compensating for the yellow light is very
plausible. I've seen this type of things happening.
If that's not the case, - I wonder if it is somehow a result of optical
interference on the thickness of some layer(s) of the flake.

Yep, I saw it mentioned that LR is (might be) using codecs from QuickTime.
QuickTime is installed on this computer. More over, - LR 3.6 on the same
computer can work with the same AVI's just fine. I just checked, nothing

you are missing the codec lightroom needs. Are you on OS X? If so I

I encountered that LR-5 (5.7.1) cannot work with Pentax k5-iiS video
files. It doesn't show the thumbnail in the import "dialog", and also says
that it cannot "import" the video files, complaining about the audio bit-rate.
I had no problem with the video files from the same camera in LR-3.*.
