Seems to me that the best practice for TL inverters is to use
double-insulated conductors from the array string(s) to the combiner (if
used) to the inverter.
That said, there doesn't appear to be any written requirement in the NEC to
use double-jacketed conductors. So as long at the conductor

In the past I've run AC outs from inverters into a small AC dist panel,

There was an extensive discussion here on this exact subject recently. If I
may be so bold, I believe we reached consensus that it is best practice that
each inverter have a dedicated disconnecting means for allowing servicing, if
for no other reason.

Jay,
Perhaps asking the question here. I have hundreds of Magnum inverter
installations, perhaps I or others can help.

Even at night? This is hardly believable, as the inverter is supposedly shut down at night. Maybe he meant late evening, when the inverter has not shut down yet?If the utility tech claims he can see meter interference that disappears when he opens the AC disconnect, ask him to try the same test
Bill, typically inverters have a max OCPD that can be installed on their
output, and these sizes are generally not large enough to accommodate
two same-model inverters. And manuals often note that you need to have a
dedicated OCPD anyway. At least if I were ever to double-up two
inverters on a
It seems that 690.64(B)1 (2008) prohibits anything but landing the outputs on
dedicated breakers or disable disconnecting means.

Friends;
Looking for the older Outback (Green) DC Distribution Panel that was commonly
used with either 4 Outback Inverters or 2 of the Trace SW Inverters.
With or without breakers. Please contact off list.
Thank you in advance

Good luck with that. I think I bought the last set from a fellow wrench

You can retrofit the Flexware gear to accommodate SW inverters but it
requires cutting metal. We have some photos on our web site, if that is
what you are doing.
