Hi All,
Just a quick question to confirm before proceeding to finish.
I have a low band Mitrek on 10mtrs. I am using 2 radios, one for RX

couple of issues on the RX.
I note in the manual and
I helped put the first repeater on in Arkansas 40 years ago and have been
involved in repeaters ever since then. To my knowledge there has never been an
amateur repeater on the tower that fell. The only amateur use was by an
engineer for the educational channel 2. After hours a number of years a
Looks like you aren't decoding and processing CTCSS and COR like I am. However,
I don't have a NHRC controller, so I won't be much help with that.
Anyway, my controller provides a logic output that I use to gate the encoder.
That way both CTCSS decode and COR are involved. If your controller wo

Anybody got a Tinytrak linked to your CAT-1000 (or similar) controller? We
just voted to put up an APRS station at the shack and it will ultimately be
interfaced to our repeater. I'd appreciate hearing from those who've got it
working. (The WX Station will be a Peet Brothers Ultimeter 100.)

I'm not quite sure what you intend to do here Mike. The Tinytrak 3 is only
capable of packaging and shipping OUT its position data. It's not capable
of decoding position data from other "trackers" like itself. The Tinytrak
4 will have TNC-like modem abilities but it's still in development/beta

Hi Kevin, As always thanks for your help. Can I tell you what I am doing and
what is happening so you can yell me why?
First the only problem I am having is after the CTCSS becomes active then
drops, the tail of the NHRC will broadcast NON PL signals or interference

Gary,
The TT will only be used as a TNC (or so el Club Presidente tells me) to
convert the serial data from the Ultimeter to Packet data. My only concern
is the interface between the Ultimeter and the CAT-1000, as I've divorced
myself from the APRS station.
BTW, I emailed Byon a couple o
Mike,
it may be best to work with Byon directly on this. As I mentioned before
the TT3 can't do this but the TT4 might, Byon would know.

Gary,
I'm not trying to DECODE any packet data. just convert the Peet WX data to
packets for the radio to transmit. However, that is NOT what I'm asking, as
the APRS portion of the project is out of my hands.
My question is only about the interface between the Ultimeter and the
CAT-1000.
I need to correct this post. I had TinyTrak on the brain and meant WXTrak.
Sorry about that!

The original post should have said WXTrak, not TinyTrak.

Hi, Anyone here tried using a TS64 after a voter. I can see were
decoding would chop in and out, as it changes between site selected,
but thought we would ask the group.

Thanks guys for all the information.
One is bad - do I realy need to have a matched pair, replaceing both?

I've never tried that either. Proper decoding, I think, would be a
problem as you suggest. That's why I designed the system that I work
on to have a separate deocder on each link receiver.

If you are putting up a digipeater...why would you interface it with a
repeater? They are totally separate services
Are you trying to send the aprs audio over the repeater for some reason?
Avoiding another antenna?
Wouldn't you just want to have a separate radio, antenna, TNC and
computer?
Hi Mike,
Are you trying to take the data stream from the Ultimeter and send it to
both the WX Trak for APRS and the CAT WS-1000, which would be connected to
your CAT-1000?

I have a Motorola GM300 that has a frequency range of 438MHz to 470MHz.
Is it possible to program these radios down to 433MHz? Or, how low can
these radios go?
Thanks,
