I am using Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake desktop with all updates installed
on a Travelmate 3002WTMi. I have checked and I have the gksu package
version 1.3.7 installed. I do get the password dialog in other
applications that needs root access.

Actually, this is a problem in the e1000 driver.
It puts the chip into a power-management state then accesses
it's registers in a way that it shouldn't, which results in a timeout.
I've known about this bug since the 2.6.17 kernel was released
but never had time to look into it and fix properly.

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11 exist on my Dapper and Edgy machine. I'll close this

This affects multiple versions of kdevelop, including compiling the
upstream source directly and 3.4 branch builds. My investigation also
shows this to be an svn problem. Talking to folks on irc, the bug seems
affect only certain distros, so it is the subversion/kdevelop mix that
somehow is the
same here while trying to play an audio-cd with kscd. I've got an
Philips DROM 6216. KDE 3.5.4
the strange thing is, it's only happend with audio-cds, but not with
