My idea for switching around the APIC settings in the BIOS didn't change
anything, still not working correctly, and this is with the latest BIOS
from HP. However, I discovered that if you install the "server" kernel
image after doing the base install with "noapic" kernel option the
machine will boo
I looked around for instructions on how to apply the patch, but couldn't
find anything that helped, so how do apply the patch? Are there
instructions anywhere?

The problem turned out to be something with gnome's double-click timing.
When set at 100ms, it was impossible to create a double click. I
suspect the slider said "100ms" -- the lowest -- while it was assigning
0ms. At any rate it is not a rhythmbox bug.

On my Edgy box, NM doesn't take control of any adapter interface
**unless** that interface has the "auto" in front of it in
/etc/networking/interfaces. I've statically configured the wifi card in
my Edgy box, and NM ignores the entire interface as a result. Does

Tracked the problem down to NetworkManager. Implementing the steps
necessary to turn off NetworkManager as referenced in bug # 82335
alleviates the problem.
As stated in bug # 82335, NetworkManager really needs not to cause this
conflict on a purely statically addressed machine.

is a workaround for this bug. It's also a workaround for bug #97520,
Gaim being unable to autoconnect on startup. Of course it's not a fix

Maybe your config had /dev/wacom instead of the new /dev/input/wacom?
There was a xorg update soon after wacom-tools was updated, so it should
be fixed by now.
Hotplug is still at its infancy, hopefully by feisty+1 wacom-tools
supports input-hotplug provided by xorg-server. Now it is just a hack,
I still have to manually enter my password and encryption information
every time i want to connect to the hidden access point. I use Edgy i386
on my HP zv5000 laptop with ndiswrapper 1.39 compiled from source (not
Ubuntu package that came with Edgy) and Network Manager 0.6.3 (Edgy
