I have the same laptop model, which is Ubuntu certified. What is not
working - I assume the sound playback?
Can you tell me what happens when you do this:
- Shut down your computer
- Remove the power supply
- Remove the battery
- Put back the battery
- Plug in the power supply
- Turn on the compu

I have the same laptop and experienced the same-sounding bug after some
upgrade. I'm now running linux 2.6.35-24-generic with the B43 driver,
not the STA driver.
I fixed it by shutting down, removing the power supply and battery and
booting back up.

natty has moved the mesa package version past that in my ppa.
As an update, there are plans to upgrade mesa in natty to 7.10, perhaps
shortly if xorg-edgers testing goes well. It appears to me that the

Also, the window-border/controls being in the panel makes it more work
to un-maximize the maximized window in the background, one can no longer
simply double-click on the window border (when the pointer is on the far
right of the screen) to acomplish this, if my pointer is on the far
right of a lar
