When starting a new ubuntu installation and set the language to English, there
will be no questions about keyboard layout.
i think to have to go to an icon above to change the keyboard layout is not
intuitive and should be part of the selection
I will try that kernel.
I don't know how long it's been happening. Unfortunately bug 1157114
means I rarely take the laptop out of the docking station, so it's
mostly on a wired network.

I think the underlying bug here is the PGTBL_ER: 0x2 which is an invalid
PTE for host access. Utterly baffling - the only hope is that the
rearrangement of mb() in drm-intel-nightly (ppa:mainline) help. If

There is no way I can activate an already existing encrypted partition.
Case:
i already have ubuntu installed and I would like to install a new version, in
this case 13.04
But I do not want to loose my /data partition which has several TB of data
I should point out I have two access points at opposite ends of the
house, with the same ESSID. The one nearest my laptop right now is the
only one it can see. It's a netgear wndr3700 running dd-wrt. The other
one is the same model but running openwrt.

- when music is being played and rhythmbox window is opened, pausing the music
by right clicking on its icon in launcher and then again playing the song it
fast forwards the current song and next songs until I press 'next'.

The main issue i ALWAYS get with a cold boot is : ramdisk : incomplete
I had this problem on an HP envy dv7, running latest Raring release
(thought I'd take a chance on running the pre-release beta), which uses
a 3.8.0.x kernel series.
