ATI Driver Gets Black Screen on Rad
Its useful for those of us who have kids (or have family who have kids)
who like to crawl around pressing things like power buttons while we are
using the computer. An option to disable the button completely would be
useful.

I guess i810 driver wasn't installed because the Intel driver replaces the i810

Could you please post more information like the files '/etc/X11/xorg.conf',

For what it's worth, I don't see this problem with the current driver
from Gutsy, 2:2.1.1-0ubuntu9.
I suspect it was caused by using a current xrandr binary, but with an
older version of the libXRandR.so library in /usr/local. I read
somewhere that the library API changed in some incompatible way
I get this bug in Gusty too, so the video content doesn't move with the
window.
So I play a video in Totem 2.20.0, and if a move a wobbly window or
roatate the cube or any other affect the video stays in the same place
on the screen but the window moves. Once I have stopped moving the video

Yes, it is a bug that the "ghost" screen is used for determining screen
size. To disable this in xorg.conf, see "III.4. Disabling outputs" in

Running without an xorg.conf will not produce a new one. "sudo dpkg-

For what it's worth, I have a Intel i915 on a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo
Si-1520 laptop, and TV-out works quite well using the xrandr command to
enable the "TV" output, set the mode and set the TV mode, after I plug
in an S-video cable.
Apparently the PAL colour modulation isn't correct, but my TV pick

I thought it would be already reported but I failed to find it.
Using Gutsy and Compiz prevents me from dragging windows to another
workspace using the workspace selector applet.
Switching back to Metacity solves the problem.

Addendum to this report, should have noticed that the installed version
as reported by synaptic is 2.0.0.8 whereas the version that is shown in
'about is 2.0.0.6 - since I have transferred my .mozilla-thunderbird
file from 7.04 - maybe this is part of the problem?
