When the power is plugged in, the fan is running constantly even though only
cold air is blown out. When the power cable is pulled out it also takes a while
for the fan to slow down or stop.
Very noisy, very annoying.

I've had a similar problem, I copied one file to a memory card using
nautilus, copying another one with a similar file cause nautilus to
starting using 100% CPU and increasing memory usage. Killing the
nautilus window and forcibly quiting stopped the runaway process.

Thanks for reporting bugs. However, this one does not look like a real
bug to me: when you install F-Spot, you don't always want to have GIMP
coming with it. Thus, it is normal that you cannot edit photos since you
have no image processing app. If you need one, just manually install
GIMP.

Openoffice update in proposed
Apparently at some point during the hardy upgrade the loopback device
auto-start configuration was removed. Adding
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
to /etc/network/interfaces fixes the problem. Noticed same hangs
happened with some other programs like gthumb and totem.

As I wrote earlier, that message I _only_ get when I test the 2.6.25
kernels, no doubt because that's an experimental kernel intended for
8.10 and so the microcode isn't included there yet. When running 2.6.24
I do not get that error message and wireless works fine.

I updated 8.04 LTS desktop and I get the same. I updated using wupi in
WinXP SP2. I'm running on a Dell Vostro 400 Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Quad CPU
Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz- 4DIMMs.
