As described, there are actually 2 different crashes happening in this bug. I'm
attaching patches to fix both (patches against jaunty version
yelp_2.24.0-0ubuntu2).

I believe this bug is due to the fact that the DPI on your system did not get
set correctly. Your screenshots validate this (the fonts are quite big). This
was a know bug that should be fixed now. You test by manually setting the
following gconf key and restarting:
/desktop/gnome/font_rendering/
There are still 2 problems with this that need to be addressed:
1)home icon and quit button are still showing up on a black border when
launcher is first started
2)when setting the gconf key /apps/window-picker-applet/show_home_title to
true, the home title is correctly shown. But after the first
netbook-remix.archive.canonical.com archive was updated in January
with security updates. We plan to update it again sometime in March to
coincide with the next major UNR update. An updated l-u-m will be part of that
update and has an even newer version of the Pouslbo driver than
referenced here, v
I agree that we want to avoid using scrollbars if there is an
alternative. Paul, our patch for Hardy modified the layout of the
"devices" tab to move the Default Mixer Tracks section to the right side
of the dialog so it fit nicely without scrollbars. This was done in the

I'm encountering issues running UME in Xephry using hildon-desktop
