I had tried that without success. See my earlier e-mail concerning turning off
the me address to solve the problem. Someone else said that the address would
not consistently remain turned off. I haven’t encountered that problem yet.
I’ll keep this thread around in case I get into trouble aga
Hi,
I'm a bit behind on emails. So I apologize if you have received an answer to
your problem.
When composing an email, if you tap on the from field a drop down window will
appear with all emails that you use on your phone to send & receive emails. Tap
on the email address in which you want to
It seems to be working for me now. It’s only been one day. I will preserve
this thread and, if I have any problems, I will come back here and report.

hello,
I for one would really like to know how it goes for you. If this switch
stays turned off for you I will give it another try. However I’ve done this
several times and after a couple minutes and always reverts back to the on
position so I have both my iCloud email switch turned on and my.me s
I just made the change within Mail. Like I said, it was buried at the bottom
of everything. I’ll look at it to make sure that it stays fixed. Thanks for
letting me know so I continue to monitor it.
I’ll let you know how I get on.

Kevin

Hi,
I am also having this problem with my icloud emails and I’ve reported it to
apple accessibility.
However, at this point the problem still exists.
I am temporarily using this gmail account for my email till the problem
gets corrected.
I have unchecked the option to use .me email in iOS 14.1 and
Glad to see you were able to get that resolved.

I finally solved it. Apparently, the option to alter the Sender address is
at the very bottom under Settings, Mail, Accounts, iCloud. Apparently, my
me.com address was turned ON. turning it off left the iCloud address
partially dimmed but turned on. I've subsequently tested by sending a test

Open Email Settings. In the final section, Composing, is Default account. Set
that as you wish, and I think that will solve your problem.

Just to keep the list in the loop, someone named Noe Villeda was kind enough to
reply to me privately and ask if I had set iCloud as my default account. Yes.
It has no effect. How do I go and edit servers on an existing account on an
iPhone7 running iOS14?

Guys,
Really sorry to bother you. but I’m ripping what’s left of my hair out.
For some reason, I’ve very recently noticed that I can’t seem to send mail
from my iCloud account on my iPhone 7 running the latest iOS 14. For some
reason, when I send an e-mail from my iCloud account, it sends
