Krishna,
I believe I have already informed you last year that the mailing list gets
cleared at least once a week, and that has been largely happening since the
list was founded by hpnadig. If you personally wish to volunteer as a
moderator or know someone who wishes to do so, then please state
Dear all,
I am one of the list admins of the India list and have been rather inactive for
sometime now. If there is an effort at getting new admins, I am happy to step
down.

Prashanth

I don't see any mails from you in my inbox. There was just a single email
held on the Delhi list. From Abhinav.
I explained to Yohann and Subha more than a few times. The mails keep
getting held up because the senders aren't member of the list. Please join
the list first.

Hi,
Recently, there was a major subscription attack to all the mailing lists.
Email ids from aol and yahoo were used to subscribe in bulk. Probably,
during the corrective measures, this kind of problem might have occurred.
In case of any posting issues, raising them to the list admins usually
Hello,
Please you let me know who reported problems with subscription? Also, the
mailing list rule is that non-subscribers cannot post. Posters have to
subscribe to the list to send their message to the rest of the subscribers.
The occasional mail that gets caught in the filter is cleared on a
A discussion on Meta would be better. We all have to be a bit careful with the
wording as some might feel bad if their names are called publicly for their
inactivity.
Those who are interested to take the moderator role should ideally
self-nominate and others can up/downvote and share views
I agree with Yohann and Dhaval's suggestion, and also the nominations.
Yes, as Abhinav mentioned, this problem of inactive list admins/moderators
exists on many of Indian regional mailing lists as well. I've faced issues
in the past while posting to some Indic-language mailing lists. So we can
Hey Subha,
Delhi mailing list is dead for a very long time. Every time I request Theo
to approve the mails but I receive no response.
Anyways, the issue here is regional mailing list also need moderators.
If I can float a suggestion - We should revamp all mailing list that
require attention at
Nice initiative Subha,
For the other suggestions that are floating in, I would recommend not to
suggest/nominate third parties. Let individuals nominate themselves for it
to be more productive adminship.
A need of gender balance could be there but list adminship simply doesn't
require it, so
I so want to step down from the Delhi list if we are discussing about that as
well. :)
It’s been 5 years since I left Delhi and it makes sense for someone local to
take over. For the record, I also lost the password and probably Theo needs to
add the new moderator.
Happy to add anyone
+1 Krishna

This is a good suggestion Satdeep. In addition to this, I would also like
to nominate User: Naveenpf and either User :Atudu or User :Manavpreet Kaur.
A suggestion is to have a female admin.
