Re: [AI] Monitor status
Hi Rajesh, I am not aware of a keystroke to do this as I have never needed it; I can see the light that the monitor emanates. However, you may want to try a couple of things: Firstly, slightly touch the back of the monitor; if it is on, the surface will be warm. Another way to determine whether the monitor is on is to gently run your finger on the screen. If it is on, it makes a noise similar to the noise that a synthetic cloth makes when it comes in contact with a comb. Try them out. Re: [AI] A phone app to detect fake notes
Great Invention! Hope it would ease up the pressure of Banking sector and Indian Government. But the question arises that how much and for how long this product will serve the purpose. After every few months RBI makes some changes in Indian currency. But, counterfeiters imitate it in less time. Still Government is not able to control the flow of these notes, because of the lack of determination, resources, and above all how can we expect a government to eradicate such a huge problem without the participation of its citizen. People of our own country are involved in it, and spread these notes into market for their dirty greed. After 60 years of our independence, the actual picture of development in our country is that still we are not able to produce the quality papers and Ink required for making Indian Currency. According to an Intelligence Report, one of our neighbour countries, have a highly advanced printing press for producing only Fake Indian Currency. And they have easy access to the same paper and ink, from International market. It shows that the enemies of our soil have now shifted their focus from direct war to indirect attack on Indian Economy, which is moving again towards a great enlargement? Considering these all facts, I don’t see this product as an ultimate solution. Until we stop the production, supply of Fake notes, and we develop a complete indigenous technology, it will remain an enormous danger for Indian Economy. On 1/2/10, pradeep banakar pradeepsocialw...@gmail.com wrote: Indiatimes - Infotech NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old Mysore-based engineering student Neha N has developed a cellphone application that can tell real currency notes apar from their fake counterparts. Her project won the Rs 1 lakh prize at the Innovation Challenge, organised in November by Schneider Electric India, where Neha had competed with 150 entries from engineering colleges across the country. Neha, a student of Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering Technology in Mysore, says, The increasing number of counterfeit notes in the country prompted me to develop this device. A trained eye can detect a fake note, but not the common man. Hence, her aim was to empower the common man with a easily available device to help him detect fake notes. That's why she decided to use a cellphone for her project. Ground work Neha started off seven months ago. I read a number of surveys by the Intelligence Bureau on the circulation of fake notes... features of currency notes, security features, including water markings and magnetic ink, said Neha. The most important tips came from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). In October, the bank held an exhibition, where officials discussed features of the notes and how they are printed, she said. Neha took the opportunity to ask the officials about fake notes. Then, she faced a peculiar problem -- she wasn't allowed to touch fake currency, as it is against the rules. But, after much persuasion, I got to at least see the notes, she recalls. Real vs fake The research helped her understand differences between genuine and fake currency. According to Neha's research a currency note when held against the light shows you a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi that is also seen on fakes but not as prominent as in a genuine note. In addition, all real notes have water markings made of magnetic ink and will glow in ultraviolet light. Using these points, Neha modified her phone to detect fake notes. The modifications do not disturb any of the normal functions of the phone, she says. The only requirement is that the cellphone should have the camera feature. However, she refused to reveal the specifics because of commercialisation opportunities. She hopes that some mobile phone company will pick up her invention. I have done 60 per cent of the work. For the rest, which includes installing and design modification, I want a cellphone firm to endorse the software, she says. Neha is currently busy preparing for her exams and wishes to pursue higher studies in one of the IITs. Re: [AI] need assistance regarding mysql command line ..
Simply define the control class to multi-line Edit box, should solve that. Press Jaws Key + 7 and tab to the list and select multi line edit box and hit enter twice.
