Re: [AI] Customized Signature Guide for Visually Impaired

2024-03-10 Thread DR MD Muzamil Hussain
Hello Mr. Muruganandan,

I appreciate your perspective on the importance of learning some
English alphabets to create a signature, especially for individuals
who are visually impaired like us. I have also been trying to convey
this message to our clients. However, one of our clients insists on
finding a place where she can purchase a customized signature guide.

Dear Suhas Karnik,

I agree that using a Braille slate is indeed a beneficial method for
visually impaired individuals to create a signature. It's crucial to
emphasize the significance of learning alphabets independently, so
we're not reliant on others for such tasks.

One can use braille writing slate. Write each alphabet in separate cell.
The signature comes in straight line.
I use this technique and my signature never varys.

2024-03-09 Thread muruganandan.k
hi,
I shall brief you what worked for me, hope that will give you a fair idea
about this.
I was also exploring the option of a signature plate using which I could
maneuver the pen and insert my sign.
I got the contact of a person named Gupta from Varanasi who carves out such
a signature plate.
I contacted him, and he promptly sent the plate.
He charges, if I remember correctly, around 2000 for 3 letters and around
3800 for 6 letters.
The problem was, I couldn't move the pen freely within the thin lines he
had carved out. He suggested that I use a different size of thin pen. But
somehow it didn't work for me. He said many blind persons were using his
guide successfully for signing.
Maybe I couldn't learn the trick of using that signature guide.
But on the other hand, I realized that it was not safe to use such a guide.
Someone could get hold of your sign-plate and fake your signature easily.
That will also make you dependent on the sign-plate for signing each time.
If there's a situation when you've to sign without the pad, you might be in
trouble.
It cannot be called legally correct also.
I then learned signing using 3 letters of my name with the help of some
diligent sighted friends. I used NIVH / Worthtrust signature guides for
sticking to the straight lines. Also used my left-index finger for locating
the start of lines.
After many trial and errors, I'm now able to sign almost uniformly, so much
so I updated my PAN card from LTI to sign.
Now I don't need the rectangular sign guides due to practice.
I can share Mr. Guptha's contact off the list, but I strongly suggest
learning signature on your own instead of becoming dependent on a carved
sign-plate.
I learned it the hard-way, HTH.

The customized signature guide with all alphabets of the first name is
created by a person in Varanasi.
However, since I haven't used it personally, therefore I won't be able

Re: [AI] Customized Signature Guide for Visually Impaired

2024-02-28 Thread DR MD Muzamil Hussain
Peace, Dear Faiyaz,

I appreciate your suggestion regarding the Braille/tactile print
plate. However, what the individual needs is a simple signature frame
where she can maneuver her pen to create her signature. In my Sighted
childhood, I recall having various tools such as scales in a
geometrical box where similar mechanisms were available.
Unfortunately, I am uncertain where such an item can be obtained now.

Warm regards,

I want to order a signature guide for me. I would fashionably use the first
letter of my name as signature or, my full name. In that case, what should
I do?

Dear Sir,
I was just going through your message. In Saksham Delhi, there are
English and Hindi alfabet trainers devices are available, ware, sited
and brl both letters available on devices. in those particular
devices, A Brl letter is written, and, along with the brl letters,
they have creatted touchable sited letters for each brl letter, which
may be experienced through the tactiles/touch. In terms of signature
guide, I have received it from NAB Mumbai, but, don't know it will
serve your particular purpose or not.

[AI] Customized Signature Guide for Visually Impaired

2024-02-28 Thread DR MD Muzamil Hussain
Peace,
Dear Access Indians,

I recently received a call from Uttar Pradesh regarding a request for
assistance from a visually impaired individual who wishes to create a
signature. The individual in question is a blind girl who expressed
the need for a customized signature guide. While I initially suggested
learning the English alphabet and selecting a single character to base
her signature on, she specifically requested a more tailored solution.

If such a customized signature guide is available, I would greatly
appreciate guidance on how to proceed in assisting her. Any resources
or recommendations on where to find such tools or services would be
immensely helpful in addressing her needs.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your
response and any assistance you can provide.
