Nautial, did you format the disk? still having the same problem? please list out the antivirus and other similar software utilities that are running on your computer. some protection softwares may be having continuous access to the files on the drive. Perhaps Your Drive got infected with virus, which is trying to spread into your computer. In that case, you cannot format it using windows. Use command prompt to format. The command would be "format " For more info, open command prompt and type "help format" This should solve your problem. Hello Friends Have a nice day to all of you Friends, I have a query here. I am not able to format one of my external Hard-disk. The disk is empty but there's a small file "autorun" in the disk.
