Re: [AI] Physically Handicapped Concession Not Available on IRCTC App.
Respected sir. I would like to inform you that we don't get the dissabilities quota consession option if we book tickets under the general quota. To avail your consession, you have to select the pwd quota from the given list in the IRCTC application. We won't get any consession on our ticket under the general quota. So the application does not have any problem. You have to select the pwd quota option to avail your consession. With regards Ajay. [AI] Physically Handicapped Concession Not Available on IRCTC App.
Dear AccessIndia Members, I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning issue that I have encountered while booking train tickets on the IRCTC app. As a person with a disability, I usually avail of the physically handicapped concession while booking tickets. However, I have noticed that this option is not available on the app while booking tickets under the general quota, even though I have ticked the "person with a disability" box. I have tried to contact IRCTC customer support regarding this issue, but so far, I have not received a satisfactory response. While the physically handicapped concession option is available on the IRCTC website, it is not always possible to book tickets through a laptop. As someone who frequently uses the IRCTC app for booking tickets, I find it extremely inconvenient that this option is not available on the app. Therefore, I request you to kindly help raise awareness of this issue with others on the AccessIndia mailing list and to bring this to the attention of IRCTC. I believe that this issue needs to be addressed urgently to ensure that the booking process is more accessible and user-friendly for all passengers. I hope that we can work together to raise awareness of this issue and to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to address it. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions. -- Disclaimer: 1.
