RE: [AI] Artificial inteligents techknology glasses etc.

2023-01-14 Thread Pranav Lal
Dear Mamta,

You get the orcam from the following dealer.
https://www.indiamart.com/delhi-hospital-supply/aboutus.html
Their number is 08048372640 Ext 742
Also see the following link for more contact information.
https://www.smta.in/members-directory/name/delhi-hospital-supply-pvt-ltd/

If you want to read large books, then go either for the keebo device or a
regular flatbed scanner.

Supersense is an app available on both ios and android. It is similar to
envision.

I do not know from where to get the tracking watch. A colleague had told me
about them. I cannot say if the app is accessible. Given what I know about gps,
I suspect the watch will be accurate up till 10 meters. I doubt this will meet
your need.
I believe those devices do work as regular watches too.

If your child is really young, think about using a child leash though that will
not work in a cycling situation.

At the moment, I do not have any implementable ideas about your cycling issue.

parks means garden in the building so its like this sir that outside the garden
where kids want to do cycleling bikes / cars keep coming as its a residential
area so thats why was thinking of something which could be of help to look see
and solve this problem. I though know that its difficult and next to impossible.

 Mamta,

I have zero idea about tracking your child. None of the solutions using
 ai
will track if a car is coming towards you. Use your ears for that. I
 could
give you a fancy idea where you bought a radar sensor, plugged it into
 a
laptop but then the problem with that is that it would be a custom
 solution
and you would need to point the sensor in the right direction and
 custom
build a solution. This is significant work.

You may be able to use some watches that let you track children but
 that
assumes that your child is wearing the watch all the time and I do not
 know
if they work in such a small area. You would have an app on your phone
which would show the position of the child.

Reading is one area where these devices can help. Use apps like
 envision
and or supersense on your phone as a start.

If you have the money, go for the orcam for reading. This is a tiny
 device
that is mounted on a pair of ordinary glasses. It helps with reading.
Before that though, try the super sense app or the envision app on your
phone. That may meet your needs.

If vehicles are a huge problem, then you may consider moving to a gated
community. I realize that this is a radical solution. The parks in most
 communities are vehicle free areas.

I want to also say, that training your child to avoid vehicles and to
increase situational awareness are better ideas but then I am not a
 parent
and have no idea if this is possible.

RE: [AI] Artificial inteligents techknology glasses etc.

2023-01-12 Thread Pranav Lal
Mamta,

I have zero idea about tracking your child. None of the solutions using ai will
track if a car is coming towards you. Use your ears for that. I could give you
a fancy idea where you bought a radar sensor, plugged it into a laptop but then
the problem with that is that it would be a custom solution and you would need
to point the sensor in the right direction and custom build a solution. This is
significant work.

You may be able to use some watches that let you track children but that
assumes that your child is wearing the watch all the time and I do not know if
they work in such a small area. You would have an app on your phone which would
show the position of the child.

Reading is one area where these devices can help. Use apps like envision and
or supersense on your phone as a start.

If you have the money, go for the orcam for reading. This is a tiny device that
is mounted on a pair of ordinary glasses. It helps with reading. Before that
though, try the super sense app or the envision app on your phone. That may
meet your needs.

If vehicles are a huge problem, then you may consider moving to a gated
community. I realize that this is a radical solution. The parks in most
communities are vehicle free areas.

I want to also say, that training your child to avoid vehicles and to increase
situational awareness are better ideas but then I am not a parent and have no
idea if this is possible.

@Aravind R, have you used this app here in India? Does this app namely
weWalk , ' support Indian Map specially streats and roads? As this is
quite expensive, Rs. 750 per month, is it worth spending on this app?

Subject: [AI] Artificial inteligents techknology glasses etc.

 Hello to one and all!

have been reading a lot about artificial inteligents which is
progressing really very quick and fast / more and more day by day.

it is making things which were not possible to be possible.

many glasses claim to be able to help us be more independent. it may
 not
completely replace vision but it can do most of the tasks so its at
 par
 with vision as I understand.

Coming to the question that Please do let me know which such glasses
 are
good and why? how can they really help us? how useful is to spend
 such
 big amount for these glasses?

until what extend can it help?

reading, Cooking, mobility? what else? everything? please do help me
 to
understand this any one using please do e mail me the details as
 well.

reviews of different glasses would be appreciated.

Any thing to look / think about the eye condition? as there are
 many
such different eye conditions. to name some.

 detach retina,

 Retina pigmentosa..

so while buying these do I have to think about these eye conditions
before buying them? any other effects or side effects?

Awaiting for your earliest and posetive reply.

 Thanks..

 Mamta.

Subject: [AI] Artificial inteligents techknology glasses etc.

 Hello to one and all!

have been reading a lot about artificial inteligents which is
progressing really very quick and fast / more and more day by day.

it is making things which were not possible to be possible.

many glasses claim to be able to help us be more independent. it may not
completely replace vision but it can do most of the tasks so its at par
 with vision as I understand.

Coming to the question that Please do let me know which such glasses are
good and why? how can they really help us? how useful is to spend such
 big amount for these glasses?

until what extend can it help?

reading, Cooking, mobility? what else? everything? please do help me to
understand this any one using please do e mail me the details as well.

reviews of different glasses would be appreciated.

Any thing to look / think about the eye condition? as there are many
such different eye conditions. to name some.

 detach retina,

 Retina pigmentosa..

so while buying these do I have to think about these eye conditions
before buying them? any other effects or side effects?

Awaiting for your earliest and posetive reply.

 Thanks..

 Mamta.

Hai there,

My experience with he one promoted in India is very basic and may not be as
useful as one would wish to use on the move.
This is in terms of the design, the operation, outlook etc.
Its not compatible with I O S as the platform can improve the functionality
with accessibility and other features.
You may explore the mid and high end versions as they would have better
elements compared to the issues listed above.
The Seeing AI app is good enough compared to the one smart vision glass

RE: [AI] Artificial inteligents techknology glasses etc.

2023-01-09 Thread Pranav Lal
Hi Mamta,

1. Most of these glasses have a camera and display things to you on the lense
of the glasses.
2. Some like google glasses and those from vuzix also have speakers.
3. How much they help depend on what your eye condition is.
4. Some glasses such as those from e-site help you use functional vision.
5. Other glasses such as the envision glasses do what you can do with your
phone except in a better form factor. That does make a difference when cooking,
moving around etc.

It is like buying a shoe. You are the only one who can determine what works for
you.

What is your eye-condition? Do you have any vision? What are the problems you
are trying to solve?

Pranav
