Hi George Sir,
B.Ed degree is required for becoming a school teacher, but for
becoming an assistant professor, one needs masters plus NET.
For IOE's, the minimum qualification is Ph.D.

Hi Meet,
The fact is that private institutes and universities do not want to recruit
visually impaired teachers, so its better that you don't waste your time and
energy over there and instead focus upon government institutes.
Forget about recruitment, majority of private institutes don't want to even
admit blind students for any course.
I once tried taking admission in a leading private university of Jaipur, but
was flatly refused admission by the VC on the grounds that they do not have
adequate infrastructure to cater to the needs of a blind student.

hi there,
let us not generalize on few instances about anything.
the intake of the blind in the corporate sector now, too has improved
because of the prolonged efforts of awareness and advocacy.
the private institutes must be made aware of our capabilities.
the awareness can be achieved only when we have some instances to show
them as testimonies.
it is wrong to advice someone to focus only on the government sector.
the right thought would be to make our career choices in whatever the
sector one likes.
please do try in the private sector too if your interest lies there.
as it is said, rome was not built on a day and change would not come overnight.
I too work in a private college as an assistant professor in the
subject same as yours.
yes I had the same problems.

I am writing to seek your advice and guidance on how I can successfully secure
a teaching job as a visually impaired person. I am currently a Masters of
English student in the final year of my exams and am actively looking for job
opportunities in private schools and coaching classes that provide English
classes and IELTS coaching.
Despite my best efforts, I have not been able to secure a teaching job yet. I
have tried portals like Indeed, ""Naukri.com." and LinkedIn, but have been
unsuccessful in convincing employers to hire me. or some times they did not
reply. I have attended two or three interviews, but the responses I received
were not encouraging. The majority of employers either stated that they do not
want to hire me or that they prefer an experienced person over a fresher like
me.
As a visually impaired person, I understand that I may face additional
challenges in securing a teaching job. However, I am confident in my abilities
and believe that I can make a positive impact in any teaching position that I
hold. Therefore, I am seeking your advice on how I can convince potential
employers to hire me and how I can create a positive impression during
interviews.
I would be grateful if you could provide me with some tips and advice on how to
approach this situation. I am open to learning from your experiences and would
appreciate any guidance that you can provide in advance.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I look forward to hearing back
from you.
Sincerely,
[Meet Modi]
