Hi all, thank you for your replies.
Kanchanji, I am trying to open an account with NJ e wealth which has tie up
with both NSDL and CDSL.
My mom is an investment advisor with NJ. She is my introducer and will be
managing all the processes.
Coming to taking up the issue, I don't have much technical know-how. I am
not sure what exactly the risks could be in e signing with thumb
impression. Also can't make out when it comes to financial matters, why
banks, AMCs or any such institutions are so apprehensive. What could be the
thought process behind this? Is it really risky for a blind person to give
bank mandates or any such authorisations?
For these reasons, I have applied physically. But somehow neither me nor my
mom was happy with this. Hence, I put this matter here.

Thank you for those circulars. Although the NSDL circular is very clear
about the procedure, the CDSL one  mentions only about illiterate /
temporarily disabled persons. It is not giving any clarity about permanent
blind persons like us.
I have forwarded these to the concerned person.

Would love to hear more from all the knowledgeable people here.
Also will update you about the further proceedings.

should be 25 plus. Graduates. Comfortable in speaking in Hindi and English.

New Delhi : Taking a firm stance against two candidates who took the Civil
Services Exam 2022 and recently made false claims in media that they had
been recommended to all-India services on basis of the exam, the UPSC on
Friday said it was contemplating criminal and disciplinary action against
both after its probe found them to have forged their documents to buttress
their claims. Aysha Makrani from Ali-rajpur, MP, and Tushar from Rewari,
Haryana, had claimed to have cleared CSE 2022 by posing as genuinelyselected
candidates with similar names-Ayasha Fatima from Dewas, MP, and Tushar Kumar
from Bihar-and quoting the same roll numbers. The confusion asto who was the
genuinely-selected candidate was widely reported in the media, with the UPSC
being blamed for the alleged error. On Friday, the UPSC put out a statement,
clarifying that Makrani and Tushar's claims were fake and that they had
forged their documents. "By doing so, both Aysha Makrani and Tushar have
acted in contravention of the provisions of the Rules of the Civil Services
Examination, 2022. Therefore, the UPSC is contemplating both criminal as
well as disciplinary penal action against both candidates," it said. The
UPSC said its examination system "is robust as well as foolproof and such
errors are not possible". Makrani, who claimed to have secured the 184th
rank, had, in fact, failed to clear even the preliminary exam-ination stage
by scoring 21. 09 marks in General Studies Paper II against the required 66
marks. Tushar did not clear the prelims, having scored just 44. 73 marks in
General Studies Paper II. The UPSC on Friday confirmed that Fatima and
Tushar from Bihar had secured the 184th and 44th ranks, respectively.
Slamming various media outlets for "irresponsibly" reporting the news, it
said media should have first verified with it the genuineness of the
imposters' claims.

If are using LinkedIn website on concern browser with screen reader, here the 
tips.

1. Try some other websites with JAWS, if it is reading all the elements 
properly. possibility no issues with JAWS. If the issues comes over there. Try 
to restore default settings of JAWS.

 

2. Try with NVDA screen reader.

 

3. Try on other browser. Because browser my have issue to load pages etc.

Hello dear mam I am Akarsh, I will tell you how can you sortout this:
1. First check the jaws softare is up to date or not and to check it
you have to press Insert J for Jaws menu then press up or down arrow
and go to Help submenu and press right arrow to expand it then again
use up or down arrow to go to Check for Updates and press enter and
now if there will be any update then it will tell you either you will
be up to date.
2. Open Jaws menu with Insert J and use up or down arrow and go to
Options Submenu then press right arrow to expand it and use up and
down arrow to go to the option Reset to default and press enter and
restart your jaws and now your problem will be sortout.
3. If your problem was not sortout then the last thing is that you
have to uninstall the software Jaws and reinstall it .

According to the police, 71 newly-appointed teachers had submitted
certificates of being hearing impaired or visually impaired and two
that of physically-challenged.

The police have registered a case under sections 420 (Cheating), 419 ,
468 (forgery), and 471 of the IPC.
As many as 71 teachers, who were appointed in primary schools under
disability quota, have been booked for faking disability and
fraudulently getting disability certificates to get jobs in Madhya
Pradesh’s Morena district, police said on Thursday.

According to the police, 71 newly-appointed teachers had submitted
certificates of being hearing impaired or visually impaired and two
that of physically-challenged.

The education department officials became suspicious after it came to
light that out of the 750 selected teachers under the disability
quota, 450 produced the certificates issued by the Morena district
hospital. District Education Officer Anup Kumar Pathak said Morena
collector conducted a  probe based on the instruction of the
Directorate of Public Instruction, Bhopal.  During the probe, out of
257 disability certificates, 71 were found to be fake.
