I wonder why volumes db5a,6a,7a,8a and db5b,6b,7b,8b (LV STATE=closed/syncd) don't appear in the output of the command query dbv !? what's the difference between open/syncd and closed/syncd Are they database volumes again but desactivated for the moment? Hi all, Your help is very needed, The status of the CLIENT.BACKUP schedule is Missed ONLY for ONE client TSM, that is the server TSM (the status for the others clients TSM is completed). I have others schedules related to this node (TSM server), the status is always MISSED. I have done what Dwight told me (verify that the scheduler is running, stopping it and restarting it) but in vain. The following message is written EVERY 6 minuts in the dsmerror.log file : ANS9455E dsmwatchd: Unable to join the local failover group with rc=3! Scheduled event 'HSM.AUTOMIG' failed
Hi all, I have a schedule who run the command 'dsmautomig' every day at 20:00. This schedule fails EVERY DAY, however, I found thousands of migrated files. In the dsmerror.log I find the messages : ANS9094W dsmautomig:no candidates found in file system /oper ANS1512E Scheduled event 'HSM.AUTOMIG' failed.Return code = 100 In the schedule.log, I find the message : ANS1512E Scheduled event 'HSM.AUTOMIG' failed. Hi all, I have spent a lot of time in resolving the following problem but in vain, I need your help. My problem began when I tried to do dsmrecall to one of my migrated files stored in 3584-LIB (dsmrecall file). The output of the command is : ANS4007E Error processing '/oper/ICMSHALAD+0039': access to the object is denied My migrated file is not recalÚled to my workstation, when I saw in the dsmerror.log file, I found these messages: ÚANS9028E dsmrecalld: cannot determine the file system name for fsid (2 0066, 8). ÚANS9548W Cannot complete remote file access. ÚANS4007E Error processing '/oper/ICMSHALAD+0039': access to the object is denied The problem is that I can recall some files migrated and can not for others. I thought to do an audit library, no result. After I did audit volume for 5 tapes (Storage Pool Name: SPACEMGTAPE). I found One tape with damaged files : audit volume 772AAO fix=no I found 18 damaged files. I repeat this operation another time (audit volume 772AAO fix=no ), but I found only 3 damaged files. I recall my file, no result. After the audit command I found the following messages in the activity log : ANR8311E An I/O error ocured while accessing drive rmt1 for read operation ANR1417W access mode for volume 772AAO now set to read only due to exessive errors ANR2335W audit volume has encountered an I/O error for volume 772AAO while attempting to read /oper/ICMSH.. ANR8376E I/O error on drive RMT1... Refer to Appendix D in the Messages manual for recommended action ANR8359E Media fault detected on LTO volume 772AAO in drive RMT1 ANR2317W Audit volume found damaged file on volume 772AAO node. Hello, I did what you suggested me to do : -SOLUTION--- As root, run the dsmc command on the client systems. Do a 'query schedule' and you will be prompted to enter the password for the system. This should correct the problem. -- And now, I CAN DO manually an incremental or selective backup from all my nodes (dsmc i file). BUT, my SCHEDULE (BACKUP.CLIENT) is still missed for these three nodes and only these nodes. (The others clients TSM are backuped every day). The Passwordacess is set to generate for all my clients TSM. I need your help, Thank you in advance. time changed on TSM server and schedules missed (ANR2578W)
Hi all, yesterday, for some reason, the time on TSM server was changed from 06 june to 07 may, then my schedule BACKUP.CLIENT was missed, it's logical. Today I have set the time to the right value : 07 june, and synchronized the time with the others TSM clients (with the command ntpdate). schedule Client.Backup has missed its scheduled start up window
Hi all, I have six clients TSM : NodeName Platform Ú1) BOUIBLANE AIX 2) IBMCW AIX 3) MICHLEFEN AIX 4) OUKAIMDEN AIX 5) ÚPIONEER Linux86 6) PATAM Sun Solaris (OS level : 5.8) ÚTSM Client Version: Version 4, Release 1, Level 0.0 And I have a schedule (Client.Backup) which run an incremental backup every day on the 6 nodes. For nodes 1, 2,...5, I don't have problems, but for the last one (PATAM), I get from time to time the messages : ANR2716E: schedule prompter was not able to contact client PATAM using type 1. ANR8214E : session open with 193.194.5.115 (PATAM) failed due to connection refusal. ANR2578W : Schedule Client.Backup in domain STANDARD for node PATAM has missed its scheduled start up window. When I look for the client scheduler (dsmc sched), I don't find it, the client scheduler doesn't run, and I don't know why it was stopped. Then I start the scheduler by the command : nohup dsmc sched 2 /dev/null and let the window from which I run the command open. few days after, the scheduler is killed and no backup is done for my node PATAM. In few days, the memory grow up 95% and the TSM/HSM server goes down. What do you think the source of the problem? When the product HSM is associated with GPFS , it causes a great increase of memory utilisation on the machine TSM server. In few days, the memory grow up 95% and the TSM/HSM server goes down.
