Re: Changing the settings API

Hello,

The rateExceededError issue fix was deployed on 07/30/2015 last week.
Please check, if the issue is resolved. If not, please let me know with as
much detail as possible (SOAP messages, specifically the request id, and
specific error messages).

Thanks,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.

2015-08-03 Thread advertising
Hi Anthony,

Thanks for your reply. I apologize for the delay in my post - I was away
last week but now I am finally back. After taking a closer look to my issue
I can confirm that the discrepancy is related only to the Upgraded URL ads.
The Upgraded URL ads are not showing at all in the API. What should we do?

Looking forward hearing back from you,
Veselin.

Re: Forced update of API, and now can't authenticate.

2015-08-03 Thread Thanet Knack Praneenararat (AdWords API Team)
Hello Andrew,

First, thank you for your opinions about the lack of documents about using
service accounts with AdWords API.
I apologize for your inconvenience.

As for the authentication errors, I'm not sure what kind of the errors
you've got.
Is that related mainly to the authentication with service accounts? Or is
it related to the new version of AdWords API in general?

Migrating to a new version of AdWords API typically doesn't require you to
change the authentication method.
What you need to do is just changing the version to the new one, i.e.,
either you use the new version of client libraries or specify the new
version in SOAP requests.
You may want to browse deprecation schedule
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/sunset-dates to ensure
that existing features you're using are not deprecated as well.

As for your specific comments:

 1. Provide notice before deprecating a version. Don't tell me it's in
the blogs. I don't have time to study half a dozen blogs for all the APIs
I manage to see if someone somewhere might be deprecating something I might
be using. An email would be much more helpful.

We provide notices in advance in many channels, including blog posts,
google group, an error message specifying that you send requests to a
deprecated version of the API.

If you prefer getting emails, I would recommend you to join this AdWords
API Announcements Group
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/adwordsapi-announcements and
adjust your email notification settings accordingly.
Apart from getting information about schedules of new version releases and
old version deprecation, you may get some interesting information about new
features as well.
In addition, you can subscribe to a feed
http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/lQlzL of Google Ads Developer Blog
http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com if that fits your styles more.
Kindly select a channel you are most comfortable with.

 2. Provide real step-by-step instructions that work for me to migrate from
the old security scheme to the new one.

I'm not sure what the old and new security schemes refer to.
I'm happy to help you on this if you can provide more detailed information.
To the best of my knowledge, not *every* new version release of AdWords API
affects security or authentication schemes.
Chances are these two things have got changed since you checked them last
time, so you see as if they changed at the same time.

Cheers,
Thanet, AdWords API Team

Re: adword api usage limit

2015-08-03 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hello,

The AdWords API has the operational limit based on the access level
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits#operational_limit_based_on_access_level,

the account with *basic access* has *10,000 operations/day limit* and
account with *standard access* has *unlimited operations/day.* The client
can apply for Standard access level by completing the AdWords API Standard
Access Application Form
https://services.google.com/fb/forms/standardaccess/. The Developer token
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits#developer_token_rate_scope
 is
associated with the MCC account and you could manage multiple Adwords
accounts. Please check out our rate limit guide
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits#account_scope_vs_developer_scope
 has
information.

Re: Offline upload and MCC conversions

2015-08-03 Thread Umesh Dengale
Hello,

In the AdWords API, an offline conversion could be used to for the MCC
conversion tracking( cross-account conversion tracking). You need wait 6
hours after creating the UploadConversion before uploading and it takes up
to 3 hours for imported conversions statistics to show up in your AdWords
account. Please check out our tips

ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND.

Hello

Im trying out Custom Dates using the python API. It worked once ,after
which I got this:ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND.

Full error:googleads.errors.AdWordsReportBadRequestError: Type:

Here is my Report Definition:

'reportName': 'KEYWORD_PERFORMACE_REPORT',

'dateRangeType': 'CUSTOM_DATE',

'reportType': 'KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT',

The API works with using other dateRangeTypes.

Please let me know if you need any other details.

While you wait for your migration to be completed, you can run an *Ad

Hello Vignesh,

It sounds like you're referring to ValueTrack parameters
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/upgraded-urls#new_valuetrack_parameters.

Check out our Upgraded URL migration guide
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/upgraded-urls#migrate_to_upgraded_urls
 for
details on the upgrade process. There are a couple of sections on
*ValueTrack* parameters That migration guide mentions that custom
parameters and new *ValueTrack* parameters will not work with legacy
destination URLs. They only work with Upgraded URL fields.

In order to get the number of clicks based on AdGroup, keywords and ads,

Since it's been a while since the last time this was asked, I'd like to
know if there's any progress regarding the development of Trueview campaign
 reporting using Adwords API.

 Many thanks,

 Hi

Sorry I know this has been asked before, but I wondered if it was any
closer? When will we be able to pull trueview through the API? Or is there
an alternative script or automation that can get daily spends?

 Thanks

 David

Re: Offline upload and MCC conversions

But if I use account conversion - I no need to wait 6 hours, right?

 Hello,

In the AdWords API, an offline conversion could be used to for the MCC
conversion tracking( cross-account conversion tracking). You need wait 6
hours after creating the UploadConversion before uploading and it takes up

Re: v201502 version can't set retargeting audience

2015-08-03 Thread Anthony Madrigal
Hello,

I have been trying to recreate your SOAP request and have not been able to.
The result I got was the intended one you wanted. What I suspect you did
was create only one LogicalUserListOperand
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201506/AdwordsUserListService.LogicalUserListOperand
 for
all UserLists, instead of one for each UserList.

If you are still having issues after making this fix then please *reply
privately to author *your code snippet so I can see what is going wrong.

Regards,
Anthony
