Re: How to use google adword api?

2016-07-18 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

In order to use the AdWords API you will first need to sign up for an
AdWords account. Please see our step by step guide
 for the sign
up process. Once you finish the guide, you can start making api calls
 by
creating
a test account

, downloading the client libraries

 for
the language you prefer and setting up the credentials
.

Once your developer token has been approved, you may then be able to make
calls using not just your test accounts but also your production accounts.

I hope this helps and should you encounter any issues, please let us know.

Thanks,
Peter

Different results from API and UI

2016-07-18 Thread Jennifer Lee Daugherty
We have a process that pulls data out of the Google AdWords API. On
Friday, it started getting extremely low numbers. Campaigns (Account IDs)
show up sporadically. Anyone heard of this or know what could have caused
it? We haven't changed the code.

Hi Tejas,

Have you tried using the download_criteria_report_as_stream.py

 example
to stream AdWords reports? Could you use the below code snippet to process
*stream_data*?

 try:
   while True:
  chunk = stream_data.read(CHUNK_SIZE)
  if not chunk: break
  report_data.write(chunk.decode() if sys.version_info[0]
  == 3 and getattr(report_data, 'mode', 'w') ==
'w' else chunk)
   print report_data.getvalue()
finally:
   report_data.close()

AdWords API Python - Internal Error or Parsing Error

2016-07-18 Thread tejas
See code with commented errors here-
https://gist.github.com/tejasmanohar/bff2fe3360673a823d31484a130d4bd8

We're seeing this error consistently (every single run) for one customer
when fetching their Campaign Performance Reports. We stream 1 report per
campaign so that we can filter from the campaign's start time onwards. I
feel as though both errors are from the same source and the CSV parsing one
is just occurring because some sort of non-CSV error is returned.

Could it be a load issue? How should we proceed? Given an email address of
someone from the AdWords API team, I can send over additional information
about the customer / request that's failing to narrow things down.

Re: NTLM proxy with Adwords SDK in C#

2016-07-18 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Shanmukb,

Unfortunately, this looks like an issue in your local network configuration
and your network administrator might be able to help you better. I can
suggest adding *.google.com to the list of allowed websites at your proxy
and you should be able to connect to the AdWords API.

Regards,
Vishal, AdWords API Team

Re: Problems setting up Adwords API with python ... please help

2016-07-18 Thread žiga preell
Hello,

I tried with every possible account i created ( almost 10 of them), but
none of them was TEST maneger or TEST client account(can't see the red
stripe with TEST ACCOUNT in it, and there is no AdWords API Center in
settings), When i follow the link to create test maneger account, i type in
diffrent mail and everything, click create test account, then it redirects
me to create new google account, i do that and then it redirects me back to
the page for creating the new TEST account,only now my email is
automatically in Email field...

I tried signed out in incognito mode, also with differnet email providers,
but i still can't create any of test accounts... (Trying for about 3 days
now :| )

Hi Sabri,

This thread has gotten a bit old, and things have changed a bit since this
was posted. Could you please start a new thread with a few more specifics,
such as the error that you're seeing, and what your request was at the
time? Just as a reminder, when you're doing the new post, please make sure
not to include any personal information such as developer tokens or
customer IDs.

Thanks,

 everything was fine, but when I try to filter the report like this:

 report = {
 'reportName': 'Camp',
 'dateRangeType': 'CUSTOM_DATE',
 'reportType': 'CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT',
 'downloadFormat': 'CSV',

'SearchBudgetLostImpressionShare',
'SearchRankLostImpressionShare',
'CampaignName'],
 'predicates':{'field':'Labels','operator':'CONTAINS_ALL',
   'values':['Deportes']}

 }

 It doesn't work and give me the next error:

 googleads.errors.AdWordsReportBadRequestError: Type:
 ReportDownloadError.ERROR_GETTING_RESPONSE_FROM_BACKEND
 Trigger: Unable to read report data

 Anyone know how can I solve this?

Re: Removing members from a Crm user list with user list service's mutateMembers?

2016-07-18 Thread 'Joyce Lava' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

I understand that the issue in your case could not generate the SOAP
request and that it worked for ADD operator. However, just to help more on
the analysis, could you also confirm if you are using this example code
?

I just noticed that in the example code, the AdWords API version is
indicated. Could you please try once more the same way as it is in the
example code I provided (using REMOVE operator of MutateMembersOperation)
and let me know the results?

Thanks and Regards,
Joyce, AdWords API Team

Re: Customer account report

2016-07-18 Thread 'Joyce Lava' via AdWords API Forum
Hello,

Yes, AdWords API does not support report generation using a manager
account. If you need to gather report data using multiple accounts
,

you will need to submit a separate report request for each account by
setting the clientCustomerId. With this, it should generate the report with
the client account. To better understand the case, could you please send
the report query, the report generated and the clientCustomerId used?
Please click on *reply privately to author* when sending these information.

Best Regards,
Joyce, AdWords API Team

account_performance_report report for customer account

2016-07-18 Thread Piotrable1
Hello,

I need to get performance report for whole customer account. I've managed
to get performance report for ads, adgroups and campaigns, but with this
one I have a problem. I tried to run ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT because it
seems the most logical report and the only one promising any effects, but
when i run it for a manager account it says that it is not possible to run
a report for a manager account, and when i run it for a customer account i
get no rows at all(not a row with zeros, but no rows at all). I would
appreciate any help with that.

Customer account report

2016-07-18 Thread Piotrable1
Hello,

I am getting familiar with adwords API. I am able to download performance
report for ad, adgroup or campaign, but I also need a report for the whole
customer account. I've tried ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for both manager
account and customer account (for manager because in the description of
account_performance_report it is written that one row is assigned to one
account, so that would be convenient to run report for manager account to
take performance of every customer account assigned to it). Running for
manager API said that you can't run report for manager, running for
customer didn't print any row (not row with zeros or empty fields, strictly
no rows (except "total")). I would be grateful for any help how could I get
this done.
