Joyce, огромное вам спасибо, проблема была в том, что в файле 
GetRefreshToken.php не правильно указал URL. Остался последний вопрос, не 
могли бы вы прислать мне, пример для работы с компаниями AdWords на PHP 
через HTTP заголовки JSON, если у вас такой есть? Буду Вам очень сильно

to generate the refresh token. Also, could you please confirm if you are 
using another AdWords account when you generate the new project with* app 
type* as web app? I ask this because I need to confirm if you are using the 
same AdWords account for the project with installed app and the project 
with web app. 

If you are using the same account, could you please try doing the steps for 
web app project using another AdWords account and let me know if this 
solves the issue? Also, if you are doing the web app, you should follow the

The stacktrace you linked to actually seems indicative of a separate issue, 
I suspect you're seeing this issue 
 instead. 
I can tell because the UnicodeDecodeError you're receiving indicates that 
you're likely receiving something that was gzipped, but your report 
definition indicates that you set the format to CSV.

That said, I can't verify whether the original issue is still in effect. If 
you're still experiencing issues with new reports, can you send another 
report definition / stacktrace?

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the tip. I was able to successfully add a placement exclusion at 
the campaign level by changing the NegativeCampaignCriterion's criterion 
from MobileApplication to Placement and setting the url to site.youtube.com.

So it is possible to exclude YouTube from a Display mobile app install 
campaign. The problem remains that YouTube acts differently from everything 
else, which is a problem for systems that act on data automatically via the 
API.

A standard scenario:
 1) Get stats reports
 2) Analyze data
 3) Set up exclusions for poor-performing segments (using the data from 
stats reports).

Since these are mobile app install Display campaigns, it is assumed that 
the placements will be MobileApps since the campaigns is for ads in mobile 
apps. Also, the ID to use to set up the exclusion comes from the stats, or 
at least, we presumed it would. It always has until YouTube started showing 
up in our campaigns.

Our expectation would be for YouTube to behave like any other segment in 
our campaign, and be able to have an automated system make decisions based 
on the data from stats reports in the same manner as other segments. Also, 
this seems to raise the question, if YouTube has to be handled differently, 
are there other mobile apps (or Web sites that appear in mobile app 
campaigns like YouTube) that also need to be treated specially that we just 
don't know about?

Hi,

The chart that I shared is specific to AdWords reports. Monthly stats 
available via the Keyword Planner 
 or TargetingIdeaService 
 
are 
not the actual figures but are instead averaged out, over the last 12 
months. This data should be considered more of a trend line data than 
actual monthly data points. There's no set date on when the stats for a 
particular month are available after the month end.

Unfortunately, this looks like a generic connection error in your local 
environment (i.e. unrelated to AdWords API). Connection related errors may 
occur if you are sitting behind a proxy, using a firewall that blocks some 
packets of data or some other network related problem. Although, the fact 
that the error only occurs with large data sets is intriguing. 

To see if I can help, could you please provide me with the SOAP XML request 
and response logs for the success case & the failure case API call? Please 
click on *Reply privately to author *when responding.

SHOPPING_PERFORMANCE_REPORT from the past 3 months.

aggregates statistics at the product level, you should expect similar 
performance stats after restructuring your product partitions. Please note 
that if you have done changes outside the AdGroup, the data returned might 
not be what you expect, if other segment fields are used.

Adwords Api(An error has occurred: Could not connect to host)

When i am using adwords lib(php) i am getting error "An error has occurred: 
Could not connect to host". I am getting this error when trying to get a 
big data(data its all adgroups of company+all keywords in this adgroups) 
when i am getting the same data of not big company(10 adgroups in each 3-4 
keywords) no problems and program gave me back all needed data. Can someone 
explain me where can be problem?

There is a preset for that date range. It is called ALL_TIME 
. 
However, this date range cannot be used when using AWQL for reports 
.
 
There have been instances where data is not sorted chronologically 
properly. Unfortunately, the only way to enforce this would be to sort it 
after you run the report.

Re: How to handle an AdWords failure: request one report, receive a different report

Can you tell more why this happened, under which circumstances, which API 
versions, which regions, etc.?
Last weekend we downloaded and processed thousands of reports (I think over 
20,000 reports) and now I wonder about the state of our databases...
Although we didn't get errors processing them, so the requested fields were 
always present. But we didn't check much more, eg. whether the report was 
actually of the account we intended to get the report on. In your opinion, 
should we implement extra checks?

 Yes, there are appears to be some mangling of the data. However, the 
 status code of the REST call was 200 so the report data was assumed to be 
 correct. Subsequent processing revealed the fault. 

 This is the first time this has happened to us in all the years that 
 we've been sending in this kind of report request. Is there anything I 
 should be looking for with respect to incoming headers and the like that 
 could be used to alert us to subsequent failures of this nature?

I have 3 AdWords accounts:

Live MCC *account1*: for developerToken.
Test MCC *account2*: main account.
Test *account3*: for creating campaigns (using clientCustomerId from this 
account).


After line $campaignService->mutate($operations); I receive an exception 
with message:
OperationAccessDenied.ADD_OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED @ class 
campaignmgmt.campaign.MutateAction (ADD) requires CREATE_CAMPAIGN

How can I solve this issue?
P.S. What account should I use for refresh_token generation? I've tried 
both *account2 *and *account3.*

If I get the results, I can see that processingErrors and downloadUrl 
fields are null, and I don't have any information about.

Shopping Campaign Restructuring - performance history continuity

Hi,

We're looking at restructuring the product groups within our Shopping 
campaign (which are contained in a single ad group).

Currently we have fairly flat structure:

SUBDIVISION
 |   ||

OfferId OfferId  OfferId

Changing to a structure with an extra level of subdivision:

SUBDIVISION---
 |   ||
 |   ||
custom  custom   custom  (based on CUSTOM_LABEL_0)

OfferIds   OfferIds OfferIds


I plan on structuring by making a mutate call to REMOVE, and ADD the 
correct product groups within the same call within the existing ad group.

Currently we auto-reprice the existing campaign based on historical data 
from PRODUCT_PARTITION_REPORT using the criterion_id of each leaf in the 
tree.
But when I transform the product group tree into the new structure, I can 
see that the critierion_id of each product leaf will change, so for each 
criterion_id 
leaf, we will lose the performance history from PRODUCT_PARTITION_REPORT.

The SHOPPING_PERFORMANCE_REPORT gives pretty much the same data but based 
on OfferId instead of criterion_id. The OfferIds are constant between the 
old and new structure.

My question is, will the the SHOPPING_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for an OfferId 
"ProductA" 
give the same performance stats after the restructuring as it did before?

Hi Raghu,

By default, the ads will be shown in all devices and you can select the 
device type to which you can increase or decrease the bid adjustment 
 
based 
on your requirement. That said, the Device field of the Ad Performance 
Report 

 will 
not return null values as this represents the Device where the impression 
was shown. 

Additionally, since the Device column is a Segment 

 by 
nature, this may be the cause why the impressions and clicks are being 
dropped down when adding Device column in the selected fields. This means 
that the metrics values (e.g. Impressions, Cost, etc.) may be splitted into 
multiple rows

I am not aware of any 21609 (or 201609) version of the AdWords 
API. Currently the latest version is the v201607 
.
 
In that link, it is also mentioned that *the QualityScore value* of the 
Keywords 
Performance 

 and Criteria Performance 

 reports 
had been changed and *will have two dashes (--)* when there aren't enough 
impressions or clicks to accurately determine its score.

Could you also provide more information (screenshot or documentation link) 
as to which 3 fields you mentioned are having the "Not Applicable" value?

Thanks for the clarification. Could you please *reply privately to author* the 
SOAP request and response when this error occurs? This will help me check 
the issue further. Also, if you are using web app as the *app type*, make 
sure that you are logged in as the AdWords account that you wished to setup 
the web app.

Device column within Ad performance tables causes impressions and clicks to be under counted

The moment we added the device column within the ad performance table the 
number of impressions and clicks dropped down to almost 10% of the actual 
value.  Is there a setting or something where if the device was not 
identified and the value was null we drop those records with the API 
download?

New API 21609 has 3 new fields for quality score factors. Roughly 7% of data is null

The New API 21609 has 3 new fields for quality score factors. Roughly 7% of 
quality score has no value in it. Which translates to these 3 fields having 
a value of "Not Applicable".

When we see the adwords UI for the same ad group and keywords we see the 
quality score and the factors have value too.

Is this an API only issue? If so how can this be fixed?
