Re: Security issue in privacy settings of the "AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum"

2019-06-17 Thread Mat
Hi Jon,

sadly, you are missing the point.

*My *settings are the same in both forums. And as you can clearly see in
this thread, I've set a display name. It's "Mat".

The point is, that in the "Abridged summary of
adwords-api@googlegroups.com" daily email of this forum the email addresses
of *all* contributors are published - *next to* their display name (as you
can see in the screenshot I've provided), while in the "Abridged summary of
adwords-scri...@googlegroups.com" daily email of the Google Ads Script
forum, there are no email addresses published at all but *only* the display
names. And the latter is the way it should be.

And as you can see in your answer to my last post, my email address shows
up in your posting, almost non obfuscated. And that too is not the case in
the Google Ads Script forum and a security and privacy violation by itself.

Would you mind escalating this topic to someone with a better understanding
of privicy and security matters?

Regards
Mat

implement RelatedToUrlSearchParameter--TargetingIdeaSelector (PHP)

2019-06-17 Thread Best Dev
Greetings, Adwords Team!

I'm trying to implement RelatedToUrlSearchParameter as Targeting idea.

It's working well with keywords parameters But nothing got when I try this
with URL parameter in PHP.

The only response is an empty array.

Below is some code base for Targeting idea.

$selector = new TargetingIdeaSelector();
$selector->setRequestType(\Google\AdsApi\AdWords\v201809\o\RequestType::
IDEAS);
$selector->setIdeaType(\Google\AdsApi\AdWords\v201809\o\IdeaType::KEYWORD);

$selector->setRequestedAttributeTypes(self::attributes);

$searchParameters = [];
$relatedToQuerySearchParameter = new
\Google\AdsApi\AdWords\v201809\o\RelatedToQuerySearchParameter();
$relatedToUrlSearchParameter = new
\Google\AdsApi\AdWords\v201809\o\RelatedToUrlSearchParameter();

if (is_string($query)) {
$query = explode(',', $query);
$query = array_map(function ($item) {
return trim($item);
}, $query);
}
$relatedToQuerySearchParameter->setQueries($query);
$searchParameters[] = $relatedToQuerySearchParameter;

$relatedToUrlSearchParameter->setUrls(['https://sellerseo.com']);
$searchParameters[] = $relatedToUrlSearchParameter;

$selector->setSearchParameters($searchParameters);

Could you please help me to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance!

Best regards!

Pause AdGroups if the item in Ad is out of stock

2019-06-17 Thread Tomáš Kunickij
Hello everyone,

I am connected to my clients account via API by Python {from googleads
import adwords}.
I would like to ask what is the best way to do this.

I need to work only in campaigns with exact names i know.
Then i need to iterate over each AdGroup.
In Each AdGroup i need to get the URL of each Ad.
My python function tells me, if the item is out of stock.
In this case i need to pause the whole AdGroup in which the Ad is.

What is the best way please?
The code helps me too, i am new to adwords API.

Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out and for sending over all of this information. Your case

it seems you're using here.

Can you double-check what versions of our dependencies you have installed? You
can do this by running "pip freeze" from terminal. My guess is that you're
using an outdated version of google-api-core. You want to be using the most
recent version, which is 1.11.1 (as of June 17).

Let me know if that helps!

Re: Managed accounts discovery with the new Ads API (missing endpoint?!)

2019-06-17 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hello Pierre,

Thanks for sharing the scenario in detail. For now yes you have to follow the
steps you mentioned. Our team is aware of this concern and trying to add
features to get more details via Customer_client resource. I will update you on
this thread once I have more information. Meanwhile you could keep an eye on
this blog and the release notes to track the new features and upcoming releases.

You should be able to upload JSONs to the endpoints as well for mutate
operations as shown in this API call example. Please let me know if you have
any further questions.

Re: Modifying existing Product Partition trees

2019-06-17 Thread Kevin Weitzner
You can - but due to the nature of how product trees exist, you have to
ensure every mutate results in a valid resulting tree, else the call will
fail.

You can use a similar method to 'remove' product groups.

Note - due to a size limit, you may not be able to perform too many changes
at a time else the calls will fail. When I remove product groups, I submit
mutate requests with each pass - unlike with the creation, where I submit
many in a single mutate.
==

You can do bid arguments with the same style- using "SET" as Peter stated.

Google Ads API campaign.status returns 2,4 but not actual status Values like ENABLED, PAUSED

2019-06-17 Thread Ronak Shah
Hello,

We are querying campaign service
 to get
list of campaigns

   $query = 'SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name, campaign.status
FROM campaign Where campaign.status IN ("ENABLED", "PAUSED", "REMOVED")
ORDER BY campaign.id';

// Issues a search request by specifying page size.
$response = $googleAdsServiceClient->search($client_id, $query,
['pageSize' => self::PAGE_SIZE]);

But campaign response returns status as numbers (2,3,4) instead of string
"ENABLED", "PAUSED", "REMOVED".

How do we map these numbers with actual status?

Thanks,
Ronak

Google Ads Api report - ImpressionReach is always empty

2019-06-17 Thread Vojtěch Nedvěd
Heya,

i am fighting with a problem i encountered when fetching report data from
Google Ads Api, more concretely from Campaign Performance Report. In fact,
i wanna get metrics for campaigns for each day. Next to other metrics the
ImpressionReach metric. I get the whole data in selected time range just
fine, but the ImressionReach column (labeled in the result "Unique
cookies") are always empty (" --" value). I have no idea why is that, even
though no all campaings have this column set in web browser google ads,
some campaigns do anyways and my report still doesnt have the value. Is
there a catch i am no seeing? Or how else can i get this metric?

Just to be exact, i use PHP Google Ads api, v201809, Campaign Performance
Report (the only type of report with ImpressionReach metric) and my
selector looks like this:

$selector->setFields([
'Date',
'CampaignId',
'CampaignStatus',
'Impressions',
'Clicks',
'Cost',
'CostPerConversion',
'ConversionRate',
'Conversions',
'ConversionValue',
'ValuePerConversion',
'Interactions',
'Ctr', // click rate = Clicks / Impressions
'VideoViews',
'VideoQuartile25Rate',
'VideoQuartile50Rate',
'VideoQuartile75Rate',
'VideoQuartile100Rate',
'Engagements',
'EngagementRate',
'ImpressionReach', // unique Impressions, number|'< 100'
]);

Hi,

Could you confirm if you are indeed using the old AdWords API? If yes, you will
need to specify the ProductPartition's Id in the your
AdGroupCriterionService.mutate() SET request and include the fields you wish to
modify. In the event that you wish to ADD or REMOVE a node to a subdivision,
you will then need to specify the parentCriterionId.

Yes, report requests can only be made against client accounts when using the
Google Ads API. So I can better assist you in finding the client account that

RE: How to split conversions into purchases and mobile app installs?

2019-06-17 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Aleksandr,

You can segment the report by ConversionCategoryName if you wish to know
whether the conversions where from "Purchase/Sale" or from "Download". I hope
this helps.

Thanks and regards,

RE: Adwords api to pause/enable ads campaign based on criterion such as number of impressions

2019-06-17 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Murtaza,

Thanks for raising your concern.

With regard to your concern, you may try to utilize the Ad Performance Report
and include the Conversions field and Ctr field in the report. The said fields
are filterable so you can make conditions if you want to fetched specific ads
from your account. After your retrieve the specific ads, you can supply these
entities to the AdGroupAdService.mutate method to change the status of these
ads.

Please let me know if you have further questions/clarifications.

RE: HI I would Like Know if the limit of calls in developer token api exceed, I will be blocked?

2019-06-17 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Diogo,

Thanks for posting your concern.

With regard to you question, the developer token will not be blocked when it
reached the limit of API calls per day. However, after it reached the limit,
the proceeding calls will encounter the RateExceededError and you need to wait
until the next day in order to make a call again.

Let me know if you have further questions.

RE: Getting Sitelink Final urls for all accounts

2019-06-17 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Mark,

Thank you for posting your concern.

You are correct that you can use the PLACEHOLDER_FEED_ITEM_REPORT to get the
data and statistics of your sitelinks. However, the Final URL field is not
supported in this report type.

As a workaround, you may try to follow the instruction below on how to get all
the sitelinks Final URLs in your account.
1. Use the Final Url Report and include the ClickType field in the report.
2. Filter the ClickType field with SITELINKS so that it will only return
placeholder which type is sitelink.
3. Then, use the EffectiveFinalUrl field of this report type to pull all
sitelink Final URLs from your account.
4. Lastly, since you want to download the sitelink Final URLs from multiple
account, you can use this sample code for Java (which also have equivalent to
other client libraries) as it will process all the client accounts that belongs
to manager account you specified in the request header.

Please let me know if you have further questions.
