Hi Matt,
Thank you for your reply and your honestly support.
So I attached screenshot for sort example.
so in below code, I need to add sort argument for special filed(for example
top of page id(low range) )
$response = $keywordPlanIdeaServiceClient->generateKeywordIdeas(
[
'language' => ResourceNames::forLanguageConstant($languageId
),
'customerId' => $customerId,
'geoTargetConstants' => $geoTargetConstants,
'keywordPlanNetwork' => KeywordPlanNetwork

Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone has a better answer.

It seems that TargetingIdeaService

 provide
CPC but not the relevance to the query parameter or parameters.

SEMrush has a "%related score" in their UI but not in their API.

Re: TargetingIdeaService API sort keywords on basis of relevance

2017-06-02 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Nitin,

While TargetingIdeaService

 is
equivalent to the Keyword Planner in the UI, since it can be configured
with more than one different SearchParameter
,

the returned results may differ significantly when a different
SearchParameter is used. I'm afraid you'll have to post process the
response to get the most relevant keywords. You can also consider using the
Keyword
optimizer  which shows how
to combine the TargetingIdeaService

 and TrafficEstimatorService

 to
find an optimized set of keywords using an iterative process.

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Hi,

My apologies for the delay. The AdWords API will still allow that operation
for the Status field since the plan is for Standard Text Ads to still
continue to serve as mentioned in the blog
.

However, it is strongly recommended to migrate/upgrade from Standard Text

Re: What sort of Status changes are permitted to TextAds effective January 31, 2017?

2017-01-04 Thread adivenuti
Hello Peter,

Thank you for such a prompt response. So the API would, for example, allow
us to perform a SET operation that updates an existing Text Ad's status
from PAUSED to ENABLED? I am citing that case, specifically, because it
would appear to conflict with the goal of the AdWords team to migrate
customers from Text Ads to Expanded Text Ads as expediently as possible.
 Therefore, I want to make certain that it will still be allowed on or
after January 31, 2017.

There had been no mentioned restrictions as to which AdGroupAd.Status

What sort of Status changes are permitted to TextAds effective January 31, 2017?

2017-01-03 Thread adivenuti
Hello,

I've read in the following AdWords Developer Blog post that the only
changes to existing Text Ads that will be allowed in any supported AdWords
API version on or after January 31, 2017 - are changes to the TextAd's
Status

http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2016/09/more-time-for-upgrading-your-standard.html

Are there be any special restrictions to the values that may be assigned to
the AdGroupAdService.AdGroupAd.status

 field
in the "set" operation? For example, will the "set" only be allowed by the
API if the value of the "status" is being updated to DISABLED?

Thank you

Hi Jonathan,

Unfortunately, the clauses *ORDER_BY *and* LIMIT *(sorting and paging) are not
supported through reporting
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/awql#adhoc-reports.
However, as a workaround, you could sort it manually once you have your

Re: Deleted AdGroups Still Present (Sort Of...)

2014-09-23 Thread mcc
Most objects within adwords aren't actually deleted, they are simply marked
as such (if you choose all groups from the drop down you will see them).
They don't get deleted so that you can retrieve the stats for them at a
later date. Unfortunately the new version of the api doesn't allow you to
resurrect a removed item so you'll need to rename them before deleting to
ensure uniqueness.

 Can anyone suggest a solution?

Re: Determining sort order for Ad-hoc reports (201109)

2011-12-06 Thread GregT
Thanks for the response, Danial.

That's too bad -- it'd be a very helpful feature to have. With the
adhoc reports, detailed conversion information (e.g. conversion type/
category and action/name) has to be downloaded in a separate report
from the cost information in keyword and criteria performance reports
(otherwise, you don't get rows for 0-conversion keywords or
placements). In order to get the full picture for a keyword/
placement, that conversion data from one report has to be merged with
the cost/impression/etc. data from another report. That merge is
trivial to do without concern to memory usage if both reports are
sorted by the same criteria and are being streamed in from disk. It's
more complicated to otherwise merge the reports without having the
data from both entire reports in memory (which we can't do with large
clients with big data sets, without breaking the reports into small
granular ones).

Thanks,
Greg

Re: Determining sort order for Ad-hoc reports (201109)

2011-11-29 Thread GregT
That used to be the case (sorting not supported in reports), but it's
not clear that it is anymore. Using v201101, I had previously
received errors from the API when creating report definitions if I
tried to include sorting in the selector, and the error explicitly
indicated that sorting was not supported (this one:
http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/reference/latest/ReportDefinitionService.ReportDefinitionError.Reason.html#SORTING_NOT_SUPPORTED).

However, as part of migrating to v201109, I tried it again with
v201109 adhoc reports, and it not only did not give me an error, it
returned the results sorted by the field I asked it to. I haven't
seen any explicit declaration that sorting is now supported in reports
(although I did notice from the release notes that there is a new
report definition selector error called INVALID_SORT_FIELD_NAME
[http://code.google.com/apis/adwords/docs/reference/latest/
ReportDefinitionService.SelectorError.Reason.html#INVALID_SORT_FIELD_NAME]
in v201109, which implies that there are valid sort field names).

Hopefully, my tests haven't just been flukes -- would someone from
Google be able to verify that sorting is now supported in v201109
adhoc reports?

Thanks,
Greg

Unfortunately sorting is not currently supported in reports.

I learned this when I wanted to sort reports by AdGroupId for merging of
Keyword, Placement, AdGroup reports. Currently the only way to implement it
would be to have the report sorted on the client side in your code.

want to sort reports by KeywordId (v201101)

2011-08-19 Thread bgraves
I want to sort my reports by KeywordId (so I can merge faster since
I'm having to pull 3 different reports to get a v13 Keyword Performace
report). Here's the code I'm using for sorting:

Dim orderBy As New OrderBy
orderBy.field = KeywordId
orderBy.sortOrder = SortOrder.ASCENDING
selector.ordering = New OrderBy() {orderBy}
reportDefinition.selector = selector

Unfortunately, I keep getting the following exception when trying to
add the report definition:
ReportDefinitionError.SORTING_NOT_SUPPORTED @ ; trigger:'Sorting is
not supported for reports'

This conflicts with the following support forum post:
http://groups.google.com/group/adwords-api/browse_thread/thread/d6b0e4d9d2f32719/faa254855ba6af33?lnk=gstq=report+sort#faa254855ba6af33

Any idea how to get this to work?

AdWords API Re: What is the getKeywordVariations sort order? is it relevance?

2009-03-02 Thread AdWords API Advisor

Hello,

 The order in which the keywords are returned is subject to change,
and I wouldn't read anything in particular into it.

 The only information (or meta-information) about the keyword
variations that you can rely on is what's officially documented, i.e.
whether it's an additionalToConsider or moreSpecific keyword, and the
search volume and competition numbers. See this page for more details:

 Comparing various keywords and their results with the Adwords website
 equivalent and I am seeing many differences.

 Can someone from Google confirm whether the sort order of the keywords
 from the GetKeywordVariation is in order of Relevance?
