[AFMUG] Mikrotik new prefix not working with 1 peer

2019-10-02 Thread TJ Trout
I have a newly assigned ipv4 prefix, I added it into my 'tik, refreshed
filters and made sure that the prefix was in the filter with my upstream
AS's, yet one of my peers isn't seeing the new prefix coming through, this
is the first time I've ever ran into this before...

I'm fairly certain it's not a Mikrotik configuration issue, and the
upstream transit says they aren't filtering it...

Any suggestions?

Thanks, they're actually Ceragon branded, but presumably the same thing.

If your talking about the 820's that were provided through
ConVergence... then they are very unique radios that could not be
converted at all.  It was a special design.

I'd just scrap them.

So I will put my iphone with it in the box I have made for my compressor remote

I built a remote control to turn on the air flow from a 175 PSI 375 CFM
compressor so that I don’t have to have someone manning a compressor when
blowing sponges through miles of duct.

Using Baofeng and Retevis VHF murs frequencies with DTMF control.

Not terribly happy with the range. It is only reliable for 2-3 miles at most.

Going to get some 5/8ths wave mag mount for the vehicle but not sure that is
going to help all that much.

Could try UHF but I doubt it will be much better.

Anyone know of a radio switch type of thing that works will cell phones?

Yeah that makes sense because to give it an umbrella or cone of
protection for everything in its direct radi.
Probably about 20 to 30 foot from center for good protection. The signal
and electrical all go back to single point Main earth

Very cool stuff
The most important, is hope that the soil has the chemical make up for
the conductivity needed.

If the earth is bad then other ground methods must be used IE chemical
grounds or grids
