The capsule looks more futuristic too as far as the inside and outside finish
goes.
Just s cool that private industry has been able to do this.

But my oldest son made some of the parts of the dragon capsule that docked at
the ISS. Closest I ever got to any of that was building scale models of the
Saturn V when I was a kid. Exciting times to be alive.

And texture!

Later in life, we moved to another ranch that had a similar reservoir. My
brother moved back home after being a city dweller for many years. One morning
noticed that there was something fuzzy in the water. Hair. Mouse hair.

He drained the reservoir that afternoon and scrubbed with bleach. So we had
bleach tasting water for several weeks and the rodents had bleach water to
float upon for a while...

We have lived in a very rural property for almost 23 years. Our well is
thankfully about 600 feet from the house.

However, our water tank was originally a redwood tank that was (we were
told) a reclaimed pickle barrel. That would have been some huge batch of
pickles at over 5,000 gallons, but I digress. We accelerated our plan to
replace it when I found frogs swimming around in it.

Thanks everyone, I have forwarded your comments.

When I look back at when I was a kid, living in an unpainted farm house in
Oregon, outhouse up the hill from the kitchen door (that’s right, no toilet in
the house, this was before hippies, my folks were just poor dirt farmers),

I have to marvel at all the good things that have come my way.

Every day I give thanks that warm water comes out my showerhead.

Does this qualify as a humble brag?

You should be proud when your progeny accomplishes something significant.

Congrats1
