Re: [AFMUG] Thoughts on LVL3 (Centurylink) 10G wave
We have been happy with them. Only issue was that they changed our contract after the fact to disallow resellers (there was a clause that the agreement could change at any time), and this made us worry that they would pull our connection. I know someone else that received cease-and-desist orders from them, but still had to pay out the agreement. We have signed a different agreement now, but still had to have a reseller clause red-lined. I'd just say 'read carefully'! Re: [AFMUG] Thoughts on LVL3 (Centurylink) 10G wave
Yes, thats why I'm asking. We have used. and use, L3 quite a bit but I don't wan't to sign any long term contracts with them if I'm going to be beating my head against a brick wall of process and stupidity. I've gotten estimated taxes and fees out of them thus far but they seem to be unwilling to give me actual taxes and fees. They do have the lowest quoted price but I suspect lots of headaches and extra fees. Re: [AFMUG] Thoughts on LVL3 (Centurylink) 10G wave
Didn’t L3 and CTL merge? CTL has two sides, Legacy Qwest and New CTL. They don’t always get along with each other. They can be difficult to deal with only because they come from the ILEC world and have about 5 times more process than other companies. [AFMUG] Thoughts on LVL3 (Centurylink) 10G wave
I'm working on nailing down a vendor for a 10G wave. Suspects are LVL3, Zayo, and Fiberlight (through Fusion). Level three is currently the price leader I haven't dealt with Centurylink in the past and am looking for the good/bad/ugly on them. -- Carl Peterson *PORT NETWORKS* 401 E Pratt St, Ste 2553 Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 637-3707
