[Ai] 50 monuments in Gujarat to have Braille signboards

2017-07-16 Thread avinash shahi via Ai
Sun Temple of Modhera, Rani ki Vav in Patan, Diu fort, Dwarka temple
and Jama Masjid in Champaner are among 50-odd protected monuments
across Gujarat,
which will soon be visually-impaired-friendly.

This as Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Gujarat circle, is set
to install braille signboards at around 50 monuments in the state for
explaining their
historical and cultural significance to the visually-impaired visitors.

These 50 monuments, including Kevda Masjid, Kabutarkhana Pavilion and
Nagina Masjid in Champaner-Pavagadh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site,
besides some in
Ahmedabad, have been selected by the ASI on the basis of visitors’
frequency during a primary survey.

“Many visually-impaired tourists visit these monuments. To encourage
them and disseminate the accurate historical information to them, we
have decided
to put up Braille signboards at major monuments in Gujarat,” said Anil
Tiwari, Superintending Archaeologist, ASI, Vadodara Circle.
Tiwari added it is also necessary from the international standards
point of view.“Installation of signboards will start within a month.
Such Braille-friendly
sites will attract more visually-impaired visitors.” This move comes
after Ahmedabad being declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO over a
week ago.

Vadodara-based travel enthusiast Arya said now, the state is likely to
invite more foreign tourists, but there are a very few monuments and
tourist places,
which are disabled-friendly. “It is a good initiative, but along with
Braille signboards, miniatures of monuments should also be placed
somewhere so that
the blind can touch and feel them. Also Braille map and audio device
should be be provided to the blind tourists,” suggested Bhatt.

[Ai] Deepti Karnade reports in The Hindu: School for deafblind seeks more teachers

2017-07-16 Thread avinash shahi via Ai
http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/chennai/school-for-deafblind-seeks-more-teachers/article19279315.ece

The institution in Mylapore has demonstrated that even a highly
challenging disability like deafblindness can be conquered

Clickety-clack! Clickety-clack! The corridors that had remained silent
for one-and-a-half months due to the summer holiday now resonate with
laughter and excitement.

Squeals and giggles of little ones resound in the classrooms as the
teachers greet them, using their voices. In another area of the
school, children are wished in the customary sign language, both
tactile and visual.

We are at the Sadhana Unit for the Deafblind and Multiple Handicapped
at Clarke School.

Here’s where the children are like Helen Keller, whose birthday falls
on June 27, and the teachers are the modern Ann Sullivans.

It was founded in April 1970 as a school for children with hearing
impairment by founder-director Leelavathy Patrick. Later, a section
for children with intellectual challenges was added to the facility.

Earlier, Leelavathy Patrick was assisted by her late mother Rita
Partick and her brother late Patrick Rajamani along with a close
friend and founder-secretary late S.K.Nagarajan in running the school.

The director’s long-cherished dream of starting a facility for
children with deafblindness bore fruit in 1995, which was the school’s
silver jubilee year; and this unit was aptly named “Sadhana”.

This is the first unit for children and young adults with
deafblindness and multisensory impairments in South India and serves
as a model school for the Rehabilitation Council of India’s Diploma in
Special Education in Deafblindness.

The unit follows a functional theme-based curriculum and children are
given need-based education with emphasis on total communication,
activities based on skills required for everyday living, orientation
and mobility as well as opportunities for socialisation. The school is
indebted to Sense International India and Rangoonwala Foundation
(India) Trust for their unflinching support to the Sadhana Unit.

Success stories are aplenty. Three young adults with deafblindness are
doing their secondary class at the National Institute of Open
Schooling.

“Madam,” says a mother with great excitement as she brings little Hari
to school. She pulls out the holiday assignment from her bag and says,
“Hari cooperated with me and did all the activities that you had
suggested, especially those that involved the use of glue. It was
unbelievable,” she says.

Jayanthi, Hari’s teacher glows with pride as she realises that her
efforts have borne fruit. He is a child who hates touching anything
sticky.

Come join the band of Ann Sullivans like Jayanthi, Vanaja, Magie,
Vijaya Lakshmi and Dipti to make the live

cancer-diagnosis ap
https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/jul/11/technology-save-lives-improve-them-tech4good
With so much coverage about the dark underbelly of the internet and
how many of our technological advances have been hijacked for
nefarious activities – whether it’s our computers having the potential
to spy on us, Russian hackers interfering with democratic elections or
our hospitals’ IT systems being hacked – it was a relief to be asked
to judge this year’s AbilityNet Tech4Good awards. As the name
suggests, these awards showcase the people and organisations using
technology to make the world a better place. And I’m pleased to report
that there are many amazing tech entrepreneurs working across the
globe to create a brighter digital future

Among the winners in the eight categories who were announced
yesterday, are Bristol Braille Technology, the winner of the
accessibility award. The social enterprise has created an affordable
braille electronic reader, designed with, by and for blind people.
Unlike existing readers which can only display a single line of text,
Bristol Braille’s device can show a full page of words and numbers.
This means users can deliver speeches, use spreadsheets easily and
read music notation, scientific and mathematical formulas. Currently
being trialled in Britain, Ireland and the US, the social enterprise
hopes to launch the device later this year or early 2018 for around
£600–£800.

Chatterbox, another communications aid, was developed by Mursal
Hedayat, a refugee from Afghanistan, to provide language tutoring. It
recruits, trains and supports talented individuals who are refugees
through a website to find work as language tutors. Refugees, who are
dispersed across the UK, are linked up with individuals and
organisations – often based somewhere else – which require those
language skills.

The Chatterbox app teaches refugees how to teach English and matches
them with people who need the skills. Photograph: AbilityNet

One of the most inspiring categories this year was the digital health
award. The winner, Haiyan Zhang, developed a wireless sensor, Fizzyo,
in her free time, to make physiotherapy exercises more fun for two
teenage brothers with cystic fibrosis. By connecting the sensor to
their physiotherapy equipment, she turned the exercises into controls
for video games. Working in conjunction with Great Ormond Street
hospital, Zhang is developing the sensor further, so it can be
trialled in 100 homes around the UK to study the long-term efficacy of
physiotherapy treatment

Another entry in this category, which also won the public vote for the
best entry, aims to improve cancer diagnosis. Co-founded by two
doctors based at Kings College London, C the Signs hopes to improve
earlier diagnosis of cancer. With over 200 different types of cancer,
it is hard for GPs to spot all the potential signs of cancer in a
10-minute appointment. C the Signs, available on smartphones and as a
website, allows GPs to enter patients’ symptoms and see what tests or
urgent referrals the patient may need, in under 30 seconds. A pilot
launches this week by Herts Valleys and Luton clinical commissioning
groups, where the tool will be used by 1,000 GPs covering a population
of 850,000 patients

It was also good to see the Guardian 2014 Charity Awards winner, Sky
Badger, pick up an award from the tech community for helping parents
with disabled children through its extensive website and social media
platform.

A new category, in conjunction with Comic Relief, recognised the
contribution of technology to improving lives in sub-Saharan Africa.
The winning entrant, Praekelt’s MomConnect project, allows pregnant
women in South Africa with a mobile phone to access vital information
and advice to improve maternal health during pregnancy.

Technology can seem remote and tricky to grasp. But as in previous
years, the 2017 Tech4Good winners prove that it can not only improve
people’s lives, but save them.

[Ai] Josh Salisbury writes for the Guardian: "As a deaf student, I'm used to being excluded. Universities must do better"

2017-07-16 Thread avinash shahi via Ai
https://www.theguardian.com/education/2017/jul/14/universities-must-listen-needs-deaf-students-disability
What is it like being deaf at university? There’s no universal
experience – but institutions need to do more to accommodate us

The lecture had been going like any other, until I noticed that
suddenly it was silent and everyone was staring at me.

“Why didn’t you answer my question?” asked the lecturer, with a smile
to say he’d caught me out napping. I hadn’t even realised he’d asked a
question. I awkwardly began to explain that I wasn’t being lazy. “I
didn’t hear what you asked me,” I said apologetically. “I’m deaf.”

The professor looked taken aback, then made me move to the front row.
It only made things worse: I felt as if I’d just been “outed” as deaf
to a room full of people

My discomfort was a hangover from school. Being deaf in my
comprehensive meant using a radio aid – a microphone linked to my
hearing aid, which I gave to my teacher. But the receiver was black
and bulky, and you had to wear it on your hip. I hated it. It was a
permanent signal of what made me different to everyone else. But this
was university and there was no radio aid – so why did I still feel
self-conscious?

Walking out of the lecture, a friend told me that my coursemates
hadn’t even realised I was deaf. I can’t blame them or my lecturer for
being surprised – deaf people are relatively rare at university. The
early setbacks don’t help: 59% of deaf children fail to get five good
GCSEs, compared to 36% of their non-deaf counterparts.

I’m often reminded as a deaf student that we live in an audio world,
in which deaf people regularly face social exclusion and loneliness.
It can impact your day-to-day life in subtle ways: being told “it
doesn’t matter” when you try to catch up on the conversation in the
union bar, or finding out that your seminar room doesn’t have a
hearing loop.

There is no universal deaf experience. But what unites us is that
we’ve all experienced that exclusion to some extent. Zoë McWhinney, a
third-year student at the University of Birmingham, identifies as
being capital-D Deaf, meaning British Sign Language (BSL), not
English, is her first language. “In a tutorial a professor asked me,
through a BSL interpreter, why there were so few Deaf people like
myself in the university,” she says. “I replied: ‘they treat BSL
bilingual education like crap. It’s no wonder a lot of us struggle to
get a place in high-ranking universities’. I remember feeling
fantastic that someone had actually thought to ask that question.”

Being part of my university’s disabled students’ network has helped
me, as has being friends with people who made me proud of my deaf
identity and encouraged me to find the support I needed. As Max
Barber, a Deaf student at the University of Greenwich, says: “The
reality is that not everyone understands. But it is vital to make sure
you are heard when asking for support – otherwise you miss out on the
valuable education you paid for.”

But it’s not enough for universities to provide support only when
asked. They have to become wholly inclusive places. There are several,
practical ways to achieve this. Staff could be given deaf awareness
training to make their lectures and seminars are accessible to all.
Universities could also offer full BSL courses alongside languages
they already offer, such as French or German.
Disabled students’ allowance cuts mean that non-medical helpers who
many deaf students rely on, such as note-takers, have to be funded by
the universities themselves. Those budgets must be protected so that
no deaf student falls through the cracks.

Deaf students don’t just need to fight to make sure their voices are
heard; universities have to make sure they’re listening. Maybe then
revealing my deafness in a lecture wouldn’t be so embarrassing.

Get the support you need: my advice for deaf students
It does matter

If you miss something in a seminar, ask the person to repeat it. If
they tell you “it doesn’t matter”, stand your ground: it’s up to you
to be the judge of what matters, not them.
Arrive to lectures early

If you rely on lip-reading to help you hear, arrive early enough to
make sure you can sit somewhere with a clear view of the lecturer’s
mouth. If someone is sat in a seat that you need, politely ask if you
could sit there instead. They’ll most likely understand and it means
the lecture won’t be wasted.
Insist on the support you need

When I first arrived at university, I made a list of all of the
lecture theatres that didn’t have working hearing loops and asked for
them to be fixed. Universities have a legal duty to make reasonable
changes on the grounds of accessibility. Don’t feel embarrassed to ask
for the support you need – you’re paying too much in tuition fees for
your lectures and seminars to be inaccessible.
Tell your lecturers if they’re not being deaf aware

If you declare your deafness, your university should let your

[Ai] AI Suggestions regarding effective grasp of classroom discussions

2017-07-16 Thread turab chimthanawala via Ai
Hi All
Feel glad to be writing after a long time!
Have taken admission inNALSAR Hyderabad for LLM.
As expected the level ofacademics especially the classroom discussions
are intriguing, analytical, interactive and in depth. Hence the
challenge I face is to be able to have a complete grasp of the entire
discussion lasting approx. two hours per subject. Being. Although,
blessed with a good memory and a sound grasping ability, it is
difficult to take in everything efficiently.Whilst my sighted
colleagues take down hand notes, doing the same on a laptop or mobile
is not as feasible for I tend to lose track of the discussion. Another
alternative is to record the lecture, but honestly being a two hour
lecture that too interaction based and with the teachers using the
board to a considerable extent: does not yield much consequence.
Hence would highly appreciate constructive suggestions of techniques
adopted by others in similar settings.
Best

Dear All,
Greetings from the National Eyeway Helpdesk!'
Please, follow below the Daily Eyeway Alerts:

1. App that narrates the world for blind
New York, July 13
Tech giant Microsoft has released an iPhone app, including in India,
that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help the blind and visually
impaired see world around them like never before.
The free ‘Seeing AI’ app can read out short snippets of text, describe
people, identify products and currency denominations, and take a stab
at identifying the objects in a person’s surroundings.
Using a smartphone camera or a pair of camera-equipped smart glasses,
the app can identify things in your environment — people, objects, and
even emotions — to provide important context for what is going on
around you.
It is a Microsoft research project that brings together power of cloud
and AI to deliver an intelligent app, designed to help you navigate
your day, Microsoft said. The app relies on iPhone camera, backed by
Microsoft’s machine-learning and image-recognition algorithms, Seattle
Times reported. It is available in the US, Canada, India, New Zealand

With optical shops mushrooming at every nook and corner of the
country, the Government has, for the first time, moved in to regulate
their functioning to ensure a standard of "sanitation, hygiene and
professional practice".
The Union Health Ministry has set up a panel to deliberate issues like
whether the optical stores have the requisite qualification to provide
ophthalmology services or for that matter, whether computerised eye
tests at most of the optical shops can be relied upon. Presently,
these shops are guided by the State Commercial Establishments Act with
no check on the quality or standard of the human resources running
them.
"We are talking to all the stakeholders in the industry including
associations concerned from eye care industry besides optometrists and
ophthalmologists and opticians  from government and private sector to
deliberate the issue and recommend provisions for regulation of the
optical stores," said Dr Atul Kumar, Chief and Professor of
Ophthalmology at Dr RP Centre, AIIMS. Delhi.
In India, usually, the eye care sector is represented by
ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians, the last two operating
at the optical stores. Source:

[Ai] "That Voice, That Brain, That Glow": ‘Alexa, Where Have You Been All My Life?’

2017-07-16 Thread avinash shahi via Ai
The article is pretty long, I'm just pasting some interesting
paragraphs. One can read the entire piece at
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/11/style/alexa-amazon-echo.html
Prenatal studies show that sound is one of our first sensual
experiences, Dominic Pettman, a professor of culture and media at
Eugene Lang College and the New School for Social Research, writes in
“Sonic Intimacy: Voice, Species, Technics (or, How to Listen to the
World).” “Voices are incredibly intimate,” he said. “It’s the first
way we differentiate ourselves, recognizing the sound of our cries as
our own, and our parent’s voice as the sound of ‘the other.’ We are at
the mercy of the world through our ears. It’s the emotional interface
where pleasure and fantasy begin.”

In an age when we no longer talk so much on the phone, and in a
culture that is increasingly visual, voices such as Alexa’s may gain a
new kind of potency.

“The eyes are supposed to be the windows to the soul, but I would
argue that it’s the voice, though with the curtains drawn,” Dr.
Pettman said. “Speaking of curtains, Pythagoras famously gave his
lectures behind a veil, so his students would listen more carefully.
Marshall McLuhan said you will listen to a story more if you close
your eyes.”

And noting the dearth of audio pornography in the internet age, Dr.
Pettman wondered what opportunities that might present for Alexa.

“Before the internet, there was phone sex,” he said. “And as we become
more and visual, moving towards texting and posting in all our
communications, there is a special type of untapped eroticism in the
voice. I wonder if people will learn to hack Alexa and convince her to
say sweet nothings?”

Stephane De Baets, a Belgian hospitality entrepreneur and the founder
of the Chefs Club, tried — and failed — to change his Alexa’s name to
Sabrina, his wife’s name. “Thank God it didn’t work, because I am sure
it’s divorce material,” Mr. De Baets said.
He said his wife, Sabrina Huls, has taken to calling Alexa his
girlfriend when they have dinner parties, though Mr. De Baets likes to
describe her as his housemate, and Ms. Huls rolls her eyes as he puts
Alexa through her paces for guests. Yet Alexa scored a victory
recently, as Ms. Huls was sitting in their living room with their baby
daughter, Zoe. “She asked Alexa to play music for Zoe,” Mr. De Baets
said. “And she started playing baby music. It was spooky.”

Laurie Burrows Grad, a cookbook author and journalist in Los Angeles,
has been a widow for nearly two years and Alexa has helped in the
mourning process.
“The first thing I do is play audiobooks,” Ms. Grad said. “They are
your friends when you can’t focus after an intense loss. I just tell
Alexa, ‘Play the book.’ I love historical fiction and W.W. II tales
where good conquers all. She tells me political jokes, which are
better than listening to the news, which is upsetting. Sometimes her
jokes make me groan, but in a good way. She can find my phone. And
sometimes when she’s stuck and I say, ‘Where are you?’ she’ll tell me,
‘I’m here and my head is in the Cloud.’ Of course, she’s a she, not an
it, and God is a woman.”

When Toni Reid and her colleagues at Amazon set out to build the
device that is now known as Alexa, they were inspired by the computer
that drove the Enterprise on “Star Trek” (voiced by Majel Barrett
Roddenberry, who played Nurse Chapel on the series and was married to
the show’s creator).

Focusing on cadence and an accent that would suggest “smart, humble,
helpful,” the team tested voices that a diverse population would
respond to. “Our goal was to have Alexa be humanlike,” Ms. Reid said,
but why end there?

“She can do thousands of things today,” Ms. Reid added. “We want her
to do hundreds of millions of things.”

Scott Heiferman, the chief executive of Meetup and the antitech
technology entrepreneur who once joked he would punch anybody in the
face he saw wearing Google Glass, has a 6-year-old daughter and a
3-year-old son. He tries to minimize their screen time, and his in
front of them. That is why he invited Alexa into their apartment on
the Upper West Side of Manhattan, so that he can play Spotify or make
a phone call without having his children see him disappear into a
screen. But they have developed their own relationship with her.

“My son’s first multiword sentence was to ask Alexa to play a song he
likes,” Mr. Heiferman said. One day as the boy was learning to dress
himself and became entangled in his clothes, he asked Alexa how to put
a shirt on. “He knows it’s a computer, they both do, but for some
reason I just straight-up said one day: ‘Alexa is a computer and
that’s it. Alexa doesn’t love you.’ My kids’ reaction was like, ‘Why
is it O.K. to love the stuffed monkey and not to love Alexa?’”

Why indeed?

It’s an age-old saying that when you don’t have one of your senses,

adage would be the amazing kids from Delhi-based Yoga Artist Group — a

surprise, however. “The concentration levels in these students are
higher than regular students, who naturally tend to be distracted by
so many other things. So, they learned the postures faster than I
thought they would,” says Sharma. Source:

Subject: {Disability Studies India} A gentle rap on the knuckles
To: disability-studies-in...@googlegroups.com

Dear Friends,
I am registering my dismay and disappointment at the response to the Needs
Assessment Survey that we from the Centre for women's Development Studies
(CWDS) have put out as the first step of a study that we are conducting on
gender disability and violence in India.
We all bemoan the lack of interest and research on these issue which we
are so intimately connected with both in our work and for many of us in our
personal lives as well. Then what explains the fact that we have received
so few responses from group members of this forum several reminders
notwithstanding?
Is the survey too time consuming? Surely not. Is it too difficult?
Absolutely not. Is it so meaningless? I really hope not.
Please ponder on this and if you still think it is not worth your while to
participate in the survey, then I have no complaints.
Hope you sit up and fill the form right now and I see my mailbox
overflowing.
Cheers
Renu

2017-07-16 Thread Leikhu Laishram Leingakpa via Ai
Dear all
Is there any Braille press which prints Braille books on individual
demand in small quantity, three or four copies?
I came across about such an organisation last year in this mailing
list. But unfortunately I didn't save the information and now can't
find the same in the thread archive too.
Looking for some authentic information.

Warmly

[Ai] Delhi high court: Where’s the blind student who missed test?

2017-07-16 Thread avinash shahi via Ai
New Delhi: The Delhi
high court
on Tuesday asked DU to furnish before it the list of candidates who
have applied for a MPhil course in which a blind
student
could not appear due to the fault of Indian Railways...A bench of
acting Chief Justice
Gita Mittal
and Justice C Hari Shankar also sought to find out the whereabouts of
the student, Vaibhav Shukla, whose plight was highlighted by TOI and
taken cognizance by the court.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/delhi/court-wheres-the-blind-student-who-missed-test/articleshow/59552426.cms
..After DU placed before it a copy of Shukla's application for the
MPhil (Sanskrit) course with a local contact address, the court
attempted to establish contact with the student and also appointed
senior advocate S K Rungta as amicus...Last week, TOI had reported how
Shukla was unable
to board the train as he couldn't enter a locked disabled compartment
and, as a result, missed his entrance examination at DU...HC had then
questioned
the railways over lack of facilities for the differently abled and
asked it to explain why it was insensitive to plight of disabled in
terms of ease of
access and placement of coaches reserved for them..."The placement of
the coaches for the disabled itself does not appear to be fair... The
height of the
coach from the ground by itself at such end points would be such that
it would be daunting even for any person to board it. The
inaccessibility of the
railways as a mode of transport for the disabled would thus be
unimaginable," the court had observed. It then asked DU if it can
consider conducting an
examination for him to take a shot at securing admission..

As a para-athlete, Kanchanmala Pande knows well how to swim against
the tide. But this time, she was left high and dry by India's sports

Nagpur-based Kanchanmala, who is completely blind but swims in the S11
category, had to face extreme misery during her trip to Berlin because
of alleged slip-ups by the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI).

She and five others participating in the Para Swimming Championships
in the German capital from July 3-9 had a harrowing time as the
government money sanctioned for their tour did not reach them.

As a para-athlete, Kanchanmala Pande knows well how to swim against
the tide. But this time, she was left high and dry by India's sports
authorities

In the end, Kanchanmala had to beg and borrow money from kind people
in an unfamiliar city.

The PCI, however, has blamed the Sports Authority of India for the lapse.

But the situation failed to deter the athletes' fierce determination.

“'Athletes, especially the disabled, are meant to be treated with
respect and such incidents shouldn't be tolerated. Now that I have
qualified, I want to train hard and win medals. ”

 Kanchanmala Pande, para-athlete

Despite all odds, Kanchanmala and Suyash Jadhav won silver medals and
qualified for the World Championships. Kanchanmala, 26, beat the
qualifying mark in 100m Freestyle (1:34:00), 100m Backstroke
(1:41:00), 100m Breaststroke (2:01:00) and 200m Individual Medley
(3:03:00) — in which she also picked up a silver medal.

She became the only female swimmer from India to qualify for the World
Para Swimming Championships this year.

Kanchanmala and her escort Jaimala Pande were part of the Berlin
contingent that was granted sponsorship by the government.

Mail Today has a copy of the sanction letter sent by the Sports
Authority of India.

However, the PCI failed to provide her the money and she was forced to
bear her hotel and food expenses.

'I never thought I would face such problems. I had to take a loan of
Rs 5 lakh so that I could participate in the tournament.

'I had to qualify for the World Championships and I don't know why PCI
didn't understand its importance,' Kanchamala, who is also an
assistant with the Reserve Bank of India in Nagpur, told Mail Today.

'I was not given any official confirmation if I will receive a
reimbursement for the expense I bore. I had to pay around Rs 70,000
(£844) for the hotel and more than Rs 40,000 (£482) for food.

Nagpur-based Kanchanmala is completely blind and swims in the S11 category

There was a time when I had no money left. I was simply devastated.
Moreover, they put my name in 50m Backstroke when it was never my
event.

I had to write letters to the International Paralympic Committee when
a coach was appointed to take care of the swimmers.'

The swimmers were also asked to arrange their visas, which cost her
additional Rs 15,00

Subject: My concern: Why posts for blind in Hindi/Political Science
are being diverted to OH candidates?

Dear Prof Aneja,
hope you are in good health.
Sir, I'm writing to you with uttmost respect, trust and faith.
many colleges have advertised posts for ad-hoc appointments for 2017
session. But there are none for blind candidates. And 6 to 7 colleges
have so far advertised posts for OH candidates. Sir, the same
discrepancy was recorded when DU colleges advertised for various
permanent positions in May/June 2017. Sir, I hope you will intervene
timely, and make sure that the nefarious plans of others to deny blind
people jobs in the university is delth with sternly. Sir, you being
one of the advisors of Equal opportunity Cell who looks after the
rosters for PWDS, will protect our rights to avail jobs in the true
spirit of equal opportunity envisaged in the constitution and under
the repealed PWDA and existing RPWD Act.
Sir, I hope you will take necessary action at the earliest. and ensure
posts are advertised for blind candidates as per the law.
Best Regards
