Re: [all-audio] request for any and all Loverboy albums

2024-02-28 Thread Victor
There is a list I'm on called Audio Our Place where we share all kinds of music
and other media. Email me off list and I'll see what I can do to get you on
that list if you are interested.

Yes, be careful about posting these kinds of emails to the wrong list as it's
true that you might get banned for doing that.

If you want to get on the Audio Our Place list, email me privately at
victorelawre...@gmail.com and I'll try to help. I also think Audio Our Place is
on Google Groups and maybe other people here can help you get on that list as
well.

that when people have nothing to post, that is why the list is not active. Just

[all-audio] Digital rights management

2019-07-16 Thread Victor
Hi everyone:

I work in the radio broadcasting industry and I plan to get very involved in
advanced audio editing. Parts of my work in audio editing will include editing
songs that have been placed under digital rights management. I will be doing
this for the production of radio promotions. In order to do this, I will need
to bypass the restrictions imposed by digital rights management. Is there an
accessible way for me to edit music and bypass digital rights management
restrictions on the iPad? I have researched it and I know there are some tools
that will allow the user to bypass these restrictions on the Mac and the PC.
However, I would like to do this on the iPad alone. I would very much like to
do all of my audio editing on the iPad. But if I cannot accomplish this
particular task on the iPad, I will probably have to do it on the mac.

any suggestions that any of you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Victor

Re: [all-audio] Accessible Audio Production Apps

2019-07-03 Thread Victor
I think ProTools is still the gold standard for those who do audio editing on
the Mac. But from what I have read, I think you have to subscribe to ProTools
for around US$25 a month in order to use the full version of the program. I’ve
heard it’s very accessible.

If you are a Mac user, but don’t want to spend that much money on ProTools,
I’ve heard that Amadeus Pro is comparable for only around US$60. I’m curious to
know if anyone on this list has used Amadeus pro and how well it works. How
accessible is it? Was it hard to learn?

Please let us know how you’re doing with these apps. I would love to track your
progress and know what you are doing and producing with them. Tell us what
exercises and other kinds of things you are doing to teach yourself how to use
them. I think Manny would like to know as we are all trying to teach ourselves

Good luck,

Re: [all-audio] Ferrite and Hokusai

2019-06-30 Thread Victor
Yes, both have different functions and different purposes. Ferrite is mainly
for audio journalism and podcasting. Hokusai is mainly for producing
commercials, cool things for radio and other types of audio that you normally
hear. I mean, Hokusai is for producing all of the cool audio with all of the
nifty sounding effects that you hear in radio, television video games etc.

I recommend purchasing both so that you can make the most of whatever it is you
want to do in Audio. If you buy both apps, I think it’ll cost you around $40.
It’s pretty inexpensive went you consider all that these two apps do.

Yes, there are other apps that can be used to convert audio files into various
file formats. I’m not sure what all of those apps are, but I know they exist.
Even garage band is pretty cool! I just wish there were more tutorials for
Ferrite recording studio and Hokusai. The user guides are good, but more
tutorials would be helpful. Maybe someone will develop tutorials in the near
future.

Re: [all-audio] Ferrite Recording Studio

2019-06-29 Thread Victor
Hello:

Ferrite recording studio is a great app! I think it’s comparable to most of
your Windows based desktop audio editing apps. I don’t think you would be
lacking anything by using this app instead of apps developed for desktop and
laptop computers.

I am very grateful that this app developer has chosen to make the app
accessible and improve its accessibility on a regular basis. Plus, according to
what I have read in the App Store, the developer is willing to answer questions.

Re: [all-audio] Backpack Studio Tutorial Page

2019-06-27 Thread Victor
Hi:

Thank you for sending this! I’m totally blind since birth, I use iOS with
VoiceOver and I just bought this app. I’ve been looking for a tutorial. Now
if I could only find tutorials for Hokusai and Ferrite Recording Studio.

Thanks again,

Victor
